I have a semi new fly and the exhaust valve just randomly turned around so it is now blocking the port. Why on earth would this happen? Is this common? Thanks in advanced!

Check to make sure that the little pin is in place. The pin acts as a block to keep the valve in place.
Since it is semi new/used.....I would assume that whoever did not replace the pin!

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
the exhaust valve - the valve by which the airflow controlling the balls acceleration down the barrel is controlled. It's hit by the hammer, and held in place by a spring, "bobbin" or spacer, and eithor the volumizer or end cap
correct?
so how the hell does it turn itself around? it has a stem, and a top to creat the seal. like a mushroom. stem goes in with the stem part facing the hammer. hammer hits stem - valve opens - air flows - paint if propelled
no?

true, but there is a little pin, by the eye harness thing. you've gotta pull the pin out in order to lube the valve. there is a possibility that if the pin was lost, or not put back in that the valve could spin.

The valve body is what has rotated either clockwise or counterclockwise. There is a retaining pin that goes through the bottom where the grip frame and the body meet. Since the newer pins are more user friendly in terms of removal it is possible anyone removing the frame could had have the pin drop out without noticing. Check one of the Angel Service Centers for a replacement part.

I totally agree with EL. It is NOT that it flipped around, but spun around.
Corrupt, nice explanation of the valve, but when you take the body off of the grip, you will see two pins. One holds the LPR and the other holds the exhuast valve in place!!
And to speedkills, have ya fought any wolverines lately!!!!
