hokay, so...

i get home from school...i feel like taking apart my angel. And i think, hey, why not take apart something i never have before...? so i take out the ram and junk and all that stuff. Lube it up(NEEDED IT) and put it all back in. So, i get to putting the plugs back in. All in the right sockets, turn on. i walked the trigger, nothing happened(good sign), held the trigger for 2 sec, eyes off. Walked the trigger. Solenoid clicks. i turn the gun off, and the proceed to screw in the grip frame screws. i turn it on again, put it in live and pulled the trigger...the solenoid clicked, aprx. 1 second later, it clicked again...and so on for how ever many more seconds i walked the trigger. Now, i know what this means, there is an error with the eyes.

WTF. eyes are clean. eye cable is properly seated in the socket. i dont know what else to do.

anyone know what other things i can try to fix this problem? it happened to my teammate, and he had to drop 45 bones on some new eyes.

i really dont feel like doing that, but if i need to...hello lazer eyes.

Someone try and help me come up with a solution short of spending money.

or, you could stop and think.

now, i may be worng, but on my angel, if theres nothing in the breech, it wont shoot. however, if the eyes are BLOCKED, they'll allow a really slow ROF (and i think even than they wont allow shooting at all, but if they do, it's slow)

most likely your noid is plugged into HOP, atleast, seems like it. otherwise, take a digicam, turn on the gun(life, eyes on) and look down the breech. you should be able to see the light shining from one side to the other.

aswell, what are you getting with the eye test?

You have to take the eye harness off and clean the eyes completely. Its not hard to do at all. You may have to push the eyes out from the inside of the breech with something relatively soft. Yoru fly should not shoot at all when there is no paint in the breech, if it does then there is a problem that needs to be adressed. If the eyes are blocked a little, then it will see shoot 1 time every 2 or 3 seconds. If they are blocked entirely and never see a ball, then it wont ever shoot when the eyes are on. Also, if your eye covers are on to tight, the gun will never see a ball.
And no even if you did have lazer eyes, it doesnt matter if you can see the light or not. If the eyes are not blocked and are making your gun shoot 1 time every 2 or 3 seconds, you will still be able to see the light, and it won't look any different from when they are not blocked. All the light tells you is whether or not the eyes are actually broken. Dont let anyone tell you different.

if you look down the feedneck with a quality digicam, you can see the light from the eyes shining, G7 eyes or not. a quality cam will pickup the IR.

if you're failin the drop ball test, your eyes are toast.
