View Full Version : Ball not leaving barrel

Got an 04 speed. I plug in the air and turn it on. I pull the trigger and the ball stops about 1-2 inches in the barrel. It has barely any air pushing the bar. I adjusted the velocity but nothing really happened.
tank is set at 450psi.

BTW I am actually trying to fix this for a friend, who knows even less than me. He just bought it from a guy online and obviously got a little ripped off since it doesn't actually shoot now.

What could this be, I thought the following, but could anyone help narrow it down?
- LPR
- Dwell
- Reg
- others?

thanks,
Kevin

ever think about ball to barrel match? ussually it could be a combination of something like not enough air comming through the gun and barrel match.. take off your barrel and shoot some balls, the gun should sound loud and balls should be traveling roughly 20 feet. if the balls are just dropping then its not a barrel problem. when u adjust your velocity make sure your screwing it the right way, turning the screw counter-clockwise will increase your velocity, clockwise decrease.

with out any balls in the gun, i stick my hand in front of the barrel and dont really feel much for air coming out. I take off the barrel and it's not too loud.

velocity was adjusted the correct way.

any other ideas? i could really use your help.

also, can i use dow33 instead of angel grease because i dont have any angel grease on hand. thanks

dont use dow33. it is to thik and will slow down the internals

SOunds like you have either low tank, or some sort of air blockage. The air could be blocked in one of several locations between the tank and the bolt. I hate to say it but they are going to need to be checked one by one.

What are the LPR and Dwell settings?

What are the LPR and Dwell settings?

LPR is at 100,which to me seemed just a little high, but i dont see that affecting it to shoot.
I'll have to check the dwell, I dont have it with me right now. I guess this should have been a obvious look at the beginning.

Doesn't seem to be the mini-reg or lpr or tank(tried 3 diff. ones.)

100 is way to high i dont no but it could be too much pressure...and you could damge your solonoid if i was u i would lower it to the 60-70 range and have your dwell set around 12-14...im not sure if this will fix your problem but its worth a shot, if you cant fix it with what you got dont get to impation just send it out to a tech or smack the guy u got it from online bec he obviously ripped you

You are unscrewing to increase the velocity, correct? Counterclockwise?

Try screwing your velocity in all the way then backing it out a turn at a time, it's could also be possible you have the system overpressurized.

are you sure the LPR is at 100? you put the gauge on the left side (looking at it as if your were shooting.the right side if looking from the front?)

and the battery is fully charged? (you cannot trust the battery indicator on the screen)

100% positive it is 100psi. But there are no shims in it. Don't shims raise the pressure? How do I get it lower, remove one part of the spring?

I may have found a blockage, looks like the little ball in the minireg is below the velocity adjusting screw, correct me if i am wrong but isn't it supposed to be above it? Anyways the ball is stuck there and i'm not sure how i'm gonna get it out.

if your LPR is that high, and there are no shims in it, that's a problem...

that means its time to replace the LPR....
