Hello all,
I am new around here. Not new to paintball or paintball forums. I know how ruffled feathers get when you guyz see the same posts. While this boarders on some of the other loader comparison posts it also has other questions.
OK with that out of the way....I'm getting a new loader. My Revy needs a rest and it's time to upgrade. My fight is between getting a Halob or a Egg2. If I were just using in on a Angel I'd say Egg hands down. It seems by the posts I read that while some people don't have issues Alot do. I'm borrowing a IR3 from a buddy to see if I am going to like playing with Angels. I also shoot a Chipley SV and a Xvalved mag. I'll be picking up the hopper this Sunday so any input would be great.
Thanks!!

A place I play at had a tourney two weeks ago and they asked me to help ref it (ugh).
Either way the paint they were making people use kind of sucked, it was really thin shelled and any marker out on the field eyes or not was tearing the stuff apart. Every game dudes were cleaning their barrels a few times during match.
So a few of the older more experienced guys took off their halo hoppers and put on revvies and eggs. By the end of the day any player who had something aside from a halo was running that hopper based on the fact there was a TON less paint breaking in their guns.
Im not going to venture to guess how or why aside from the fact that the push the halo exerts is really too much in most cases, even with a greased up belt.
I think the halo is a good idea that will lead to better hoppers in the future as long as they can ease up on the torque some. But as it stands as a user of both in an Angel and in a cocker I think the Egg is the way to go. Throw in a Z board and I think you will have an extremely hard time telling any difference in speed.
Luckily both hoppers are built pretty crappy, so neither gains an advantage on the other in that dept. At least replacement parts are all over.
Good luck.

What if I were to add a Reloader2 in to the mix....I hear there pretty decent also.

YOu can't even say this is not a Which is better thread because that's all it is. There are dozens upon dozens of threads related to this. Get the one best for you and your budget. Halo and reloader feed faster but can be prone to breaking balls as a result depending in the setup. Egg feeds slower but is not as prone to breaking paint. With a Z board the feeding difference can be lessened. The Halo and Reloader hold abut 160 balls whereas the egg holds 195 advertised.

What I would recommend in your case is to get one of the newer angels that has eyes and get a halo. Cause if your running a mag as well the halo may be the better choice cause you can use it with either gun. I do prefer my EGG on my IR3 but the IR3 shots slow enough that the EGG w Z is fine. I am getting an upgrade done on my gun thats giving me 4 detents so that my ball stack will sit perfectly straight and ill have no issues with chopping.
