it is actually a c-clip on top of the mini reg. you will have to remove it with c-clip pliers. There are numerous threads showinghow to do this is you search in the forum. hope it helped

OK, first off whoever told you that is either a horrible person or incredibly confused. DO NOT TAKE OUT ANYTHING LOCATED BEHIND ANY VOLUMISERS OR END CAPS!!!!!! I think what they were referring to is the minireg-mod where (I'm not 100% certian on this so do a search first) you take out JUST ONE of the washers that makes up the spring stack in the minireg. This should allow you to use a HP output tank on your speed (typically 850-900 psi).

yeah, the only piece behind a volumizer is the valve spring/guide and obviously you can't take that out. must be thinkin' of the mini reg mod

mini reg mod i did it... take off the reg 1....2.remove c-clip with c-clip plyers...3..turn mini reg upsidon and get all the internals out..take out 2 spacers..then re-install you will be fine..

"if you have a high pressure tank you can modify the mini reg to lower the spring stack pressure so you may adjust the gun below 300 fps.

1) remove all pressure to the gun.
2) remove the mini reg from the gun by unscrewing it counter clockwise
3) look into the top of the mini reg and locate the circle 'c clip'
4) with a circlip pliers remove the circlip
5)carefuly turn the mini reg over and tap it on a padded surface
6) you will note that there are cuped washers stacked on top of each other they look like this: ((()))((())) (not in this order)
7)remove 1 of the cuped washers (springs) from the mini reg stack
8) reassemble in reverse order and re chrony."

lurzd i'm confused on one part of the instruction. when it say put in reverse order, do i flip the shims around or just put it back in the same way it came out minus the 1 shim?

i assume your refering to step 8.
put it back in the same way minus the one shim.
"reassemble in reverse order" usually means once all the steps are complete, basically do the steps in reverse order to put everything back together.

yea.. so in #8 put back the one shim that you removed in #7 lol
