Looking for an new marker, undecided from an:
05 Speed
A4 Fly

I've seen threads on the 05 speed vs. G7, anyone know or have hands on opinions/comparisons of the 05 speed vs. the A4 Fly?, also when did the A4 Fly get introduced to the public, '04? these 2 markers will be my only choices, any educated replies is much appreciated.

From what I can see,
A4-Fly - Break beam Eye - Dependable and same as the 05 Speed Eye if not better?
A4-Fly - Fly board w/ Ramping - Debounce settings
05 Speed - No Fly board (fly mod soon) - Only Debounce, no ramping.
Fly - LCD display, speed none, their prices aren't an issue.

Which one is actually faster, performs better w/ stock internals?

I have used both markers and have come to the conclusion that it is truly a matter of preference. I however do not really care for the speed milling. But i can definetly say that i like the LCD over the LED plus the Fly is definetly going to hold its value more than the 05 speed. Look at the 03-04 speed to see what i mean. So if you think you are going to want to trade the marker in you are going to want to go with the fly for value. Also I have seen alot of threads about the 05 speeds having all kinds of diff. problems. My advice is shoot both markers if possible and decide which one you say :hitit: to.

I shoot an 03 Speed, and seems like the A4 Fly and 05 speeds are probably what are the best markers to to have right now, I've seen a few threads on the magnet triggers, obtainable on the Fly w/ the Magnet Mod I believe, Thanks for the input on the 05 speed issues, perhaps I'll wait till they fix the bugs or try out a Fly w/ the better specs/perf wise.

basic difference between 05speed and a fly is LED vs LCD, milling, and mag trigger

Actually saber check out the price differences between a new fly and a used one and a the 04s when the came out, you can get a fly for like 800 now, that close to a six hundred dollar drop, while the speed went done to five hundred for a decent speed, which is only a four hundred dollar drop, and i dont think that the newer speed will lose value as quickly because it is based on the newer platform, but i would defenetly go for the fly, as they are much more reliable, unless you like the new trigger system.

Where have you seen the A4-Flyes for 800?, lowest ive seen is $1300 stock. I'm considering selling my 03 speed since I wouldn't really need a backup imo, these public prices or special offers cuz I can't find those kinda of low prices anywhere. I'm guessing they'll have the Fly out for the 05 speed, id prefer an LCD and a safety/live option but as I've been roaming, pple have been posting that the Speed is a "barebone" type model as well as some internal issues w/ it shutting down and chopping paint, since its priced lower w/o the pizazz... still a tough decision, A4-Fly, 05 speed, 05 Speed Fly, possibly G7... its countless decisions, tx WDP :notsure:

Sloffie was comparing the speed to the fly to see if one held value more than the other....comparing new guns would prove nothing.
