ya i bought a speed demon of ebay to and the bolt was real worn. I know for a fact that the bolt isnt going to far. Im not sure though what causes a bolt to wear that much though, maybe paint shells? dunno

First, don't listen to people on E-Bay and second, before you fire, oil the bolt. I bought an airsoft gun on ebay for 100 bucks, turns out it was on another site for $49. The people lie on E-Bay.

DO NOT OIL THE BOLT, the boalts that come in the guns are made of derlin, and they are self lubricating, if you do apply oil to the bolt it will swell and could get stuck in the breech and cop paint like no other.

yeah, don't oil the bolt. also, bolt wear is normal as it rubs against the chamber everytime you fire.

I mean put lube in the breach. Someone on another forum told me you can lube it. Well, guess not, maybe that was why my gun was chopping.

Wait, if I stop lubing it will it shrink down to normal size?

that depends...delrin is a self-lubricating material, that means NO LUBE IS NEEDED. it's normal for the delrin to wear like that, and replacement soft-face bolts are only $25-30

I had a cobra bolt that swelled... it went down to size.. not sure how long it took because I actually switched back to the stock bolt.

wow, I hear of so many people doing this, I think we need a sticky thread that states not to oil the delrin.
It should shrink back down to size, but yea, no one really knows how long it takes, I would imagine the lube eventually evaporates off or dries off or something.
You live, you learn right?
Anyways, I shoot a speeddemon and I see some wear in the breach (well where the bolt slides in that circulaar grove) but my bolts hardly worn. I love my speeddemon!

a sticky isn't really necessary to teach proper care of your equipment...

Yeah thats kind of why they give you a manual with the gun...

Yeah well in the manual it says all internal and external moving parts should be lubricated in a light synthetic oil.
