I noticed theirs several jumper shunts on the '05 speed board. Has anyone found out what they do? Unlock modes maybe? They must do something.

Go ahead, check them out. Void your warranty and when you fry the board you can shell out 2 c notes for a new one.

The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible. Say it three times fast, It loses all meaning.

This is true, but I know the limits of the possible for me and electronics, the basement is about as high as I got in electronics. But you did get me. Go for it, maybe you will find something new and show WDP a thing or two about their boards.

can someone please explain to me what you guys are talking about i dont know anything about electronics

The stuff soldiered into the board on the speed that make the electronic stuff function. Tampering with it will void the warranty however you can possibly increase the ROF, change the firing settings, select full auto, burst or semi. I am not an electrical genius si I would advise against doing something like this. But if you're an electrician that builds boards for a living the stuff in the board is probably like drinking a soda.

Yeah,I dont want void my warranty.I was hoping someone who did a was or other board swap may have experimented. The use of shunts like on a cpu motherboard is to make changes to a circuitboard easily.I sure your just as curious :rrrright:

Not really, beacue I know that realm is not something I have any expertise in and would definately end up damaging the marker. Electrical work has never been something I have ever excelled at, though the ASVAB said I would excell at electrical.

i will experiment with the shunts later next weekend. My friends and i build custom cockers and do ramping boards for dm4/dm5. I used profits to buy another 05 speed board to experiment with. I will upload the neccesary software tonight and try and figure out if i can unlock or find anything new. I will post back next weekend with results

oh yeah, i forgot. if you ever want a really high end custom cocker or dm4/dm5 ramping chip(you choose what %ramping you want) go to www.rxpaintball.com

I removed the shunt that is just above the data link plug on the lower right. The top light lit orange, the eye worked and led showed trigger pulls but the soliniod never activated. This could a way for a tech dia. an eye problem?? I'll try the other ones next.

I am figuring out how to get a thing that lets you plug in the speed board to my computer an upload the programming after i do that I am sure i can reprogramm it

the hard part will be hooking it up, programming it is easy

i heard they had stuff for that. wtf

I'm pretty sure there is no magic spell to unlock any firing modes on the 05 speed, if there were someone would have figured it out by now. but it really don't matter, they are going to release new software for psp and x-ball, that should keep me busy for a while anyway.

I'm quite certain fo someone that knows a little about boards it's only a matter of time until they are able to unlock the board and get things like full auto or burst. It's all just a matter of knowhow in the electrical board department.

my guess is that there are no "unlockable" firing modes on the 05. But if i reprogram it i should be able to get it to ramp, fire in burst, fire semi, fire full auto, etc.

I got the other two shunts out and they dont seem to do anything. The marker worked normally with any combination of them removed.Did'nt break the factory seal so I dont think WDP will be any the wiser.

they could cuz you just POSTED IT ON THE INTERNET. NOw some farmer in uzbekistan can see what mods you did to your angel

lmao jesus.

you could really §§§§ up your board and whole gun. i tell you in all my years of electronics, you can really §§§§ things up badly. i STRONGLY reccomend you DO NOT do it. i wouldnt even let a professional touch my board if they new what they were doing unless if they broke it they would pay for it.

the above statement is why i didnt try it on my gun and did try it on a spare 05 speed board

Someone mentioned about the cables they plug into the board to reprogram it, you are talking about the datalink cables that WDP gets from the company which make their boards. I don't think the jumpers really do that much, the gun is limited only by its software, so if you really wanted those modes then you would just have to reprogram the board which is pretty highly unlikely. People weren't able to reprogram the Ir3 board from what I know, so if you can do it, then congratz.

or if you just wanted tospendthe money just get it retro fitted with a different board like predator drop in or hk it. ? i dont get it its was fast anyway

I am pretty good at programming. I made my own DM5 ramping chip by reprogramming the stock one. I don;t think the angel will be much harder

programm the board?

Well with the DM5 chips they are IC chips. I have a unit that reads IC chips and can reprogramm them. I looked at the code and found a familiar if statement. I played aroung with it and got it to do a 80% ramp after 9 bps. The 05 speed board is a little different. If i could get my hands on a programming kit. I am sure I could make some sweet boards
