major eye problem

I just got my first angel last week and it shot great. This week when playing I let my teammate shoot it and he broke paint in it, then turned the eyes off and broke more paint. Now when I switch it on it says that there's a ball in the breach when there's really not one. So I looked in the breach and only one side of the eyes light up. It has the G7 laser eyes. Is that normal? Also with no paintballs in it,when I fire it without the eyes off it fires fine, but with the eyes on, it will fire then it reads no ball in the breach then after 4-5 seconds it will allow me to fire again. So I figure I need to clean the eyes, but I don't know how. I have only owned and shot a mag before so I know nothing about angels. Any help is appreciated.

check the manual your gun came with for instructions or go the the wdp site. Only one side of the lasers are showing cuz something is blocking the laser. Clean it. That is all you have to do. If you cant figure out how to then take it into a wdp certified tech shop

I have gotten down to the eye but I can't get it out. What should I use to push it out and how much force should I use.

use a tooth pic, bend the tooth pic and push it out not to much force is needed but a lil.......be carfull when cleaning the eye so you dont scratch it use a realy soft cloth

Only one side of the lasers are showing cuz something is blocking the laser.Only one side of the laser is working because that's how it's supposed to work. One side emits light and the other see's when the light is broken and thus "sees" a ball.

use a toothpick or my personal favorite: a q tip

the important (I SAID IMPORTANT) thing is that you don't try to pull the eyes out by the attached ribbon. They will surely not work if you damage the ribbon cable.

Use a blunt object (folks above say to use a toothpick), I use the tiny allen wrench that came with my speed and insert it inside the barrel such that short end of the wrench is in contact with the eye. Then gently press the eye and it will pop out.

WDP uses a 90 degree pick that has been rounded off so that it isn't sharp. It works great.

i use an allen wrench also, you guys are saying not much force is needed tho. its weird because it takes a considerable amount of force to get mine out. they still work fine tho

An air compressor works even better and it's cheaper too, in the long run.

i wish mine didn't come out so easy. sometimes when I put them back in, they pop back out. Our second speed is different. they eyes are kind of tight and take more force to get them out.

that happened to me, i just took a qtip and cleaned it inside the breach. I didnt even have to take the eyes out.

That's where the air compressor really shines. Set it to about 50psi and blow all the paint and residue from around the eyes way way quicker than a q-tip and just as thorough if not more.

that's probably better in the long run as you aren't risking wear and tear on the ribbon.

As an oh-by-the-way... my son's speed 05 stopped shooting last weekend. He was on the field and yelled over that even with the eyes off it didn't work. Turned out he didn't have the eyes off but sure enough when you turned them off, it would shoot. That's a clue to me that the eyes need cleaning. I took his eyes out and they weren't dirty at all (absolutely no paint on them) but after I cleaned them and put them back in, it worked like a champ again.

Must have been some tiny speck of dust. I was amazed at how sensitive they were to dirt/debris.

i have only taken my eyes out once and that was to put in the lazer eyes i just clean them in the gun with rubbing alcohol and compressed air

The marker not firing with eyes on either means no paint or you have the eyes so filthy they can't see the paint. The slight amount of dirt is a new one on me. I guess that's where it pays to have a shot of keyboard cleaners handy in your car.

i had read over and over both on AOG and other forums that you just had to push a bit on the eyes to get them out. i had G7 eyes installed at the factory, and when i got it, i wanted to take them out, to try. i tried and tried, toothpicks, qtips, allen key, everything. i tried soft, harder, hard, hardest, nothing worked. i brought it in to a local WDP certified tech (mike from badlands winnipeg) and he also could not take them out. he said there was somethign wrong with them, they were not normal, but they still work fine and can be cleaned fromt he inside, so i haven't taken them off yet. just a heads up, it is possible for them not to come out... and DON'T PULL ON THE RIBBON FOLKS!!! or you get to spend more $$$ on a new set of eyes.

where do you buy that stuff? office max or something like that?

I think you can buy it from Office Max or Comp USA or another computer type store. If you have it at work you can "borrow" a can or two when needed as I will generally do.

walmart has everything. I made a paintball trip mine from thing i bought at wal mart. I can make it so it sets off an alarm of so it shoots paint using an attachment i made.
