Which one? A Crossfire Low Pressure 70/4500 Stubby, or a WDP Angel Air Preset LP 68/4500?
Which one is better? Faster recharge rate, can keep up better.

Angel Air is probably most definately the better choice here.. but i have no clue .. i've only heard that Angel A.I.R. is good so dont take my word for it.

...actually the Crossfire has the faster recharge rate of the two, IF...the WDP preset is the early ones that had basically a Pure Energy reg on them. I heard that there was going to be a reg change to either a Crossfire or CP for the 2nd generation WDP presets, but haven't seen anything materialize yet... maybe Ken or the other MT's might have some info on this..

hmmm... well, i thought the wdp tanks had those gay pmi regs and the crossifer a crossfire reg.

Crossfire is way better then the presests. The AIR pre sets do use PMI junk regs, and crossfrie regs are just crazy.

centerflag uses a similar reg to the crossfire i believe.
i have a crossfire tank and today i used a wdp preset, the preset was just as consistent and because the guage was smaller and the position of the fill nipple it just fit my setup alot better.

Ya i was readin a comparison test/chart of every tank, Crossfire was best preset tank winner, and the Evil Scion was the adjustable winner.

I had a preset AIR and had no problem with it aside from it being a screw in tank (I'm not too into screw in tanks).

Adjustable. Like angel air(not preset) and the max-flow. There is a Nitro Duck adjustable screw in though.

i used a air the other weekend and liked it alot better than my crossfire because
a)its was longer, which makes it a good fit with the space frame
b)it felt lighter...
c)the guage doesnt stick out as much allowing me to play tighter

Does the angel air tuck well? I've seen alot of pics with bottle sticking out pretty far in the back and was wondering(in the market of getting one in a month or so).

i think that the crossfires are a bit smaller, so if thats what your looking for... i personally like longer tanks because the space frame acts like a drop, and i hate drops....
i like the legion air preset from macdev.
the recharge rate is next to 1ms! wow! crossfire is 10ms and centerflag is 12ms. nitro duck somewhere around that range 15-20ms.
ouch. if the angel air presets really use pmi regs then the recharge rate is up to 150ms. and dye throttle tanks come in last with a recharge rate of about 180ms.Oh yeah and the threads suck.
(p.s. the smaller the number, the better the recharge rate.) :bouncer: :bouncer:

i had the same questions. also, do the presets still use the pmi regs? and i went to the wdp website and watched that g7 video (its sick btw)and the preset seemed to keep up a good recharge rate. is its b/c of the g7, or is the preset just a good tank? would the preset be able to keep up around 25 or so?

its not discontinued. theres just a post pone due to the war efforts and the airlines eating up the material. talked to 10 different stores and said they should restock by mid june or so. should also check ebay once in a while. i know for sure theres one that is at 230 right now. apparently your not the only one.

I had the same problem, I looked for the crossfire tank on many different websites and they were all out of stock.
I then called crossfire and ask them what the deal was, they said just to place a order on the website and they would send me one out as soon as it was made. They said to call back in a week to make sure order got sent.
Next I ordered a crossfire tank directly from the crossfire website about 3 weeks ago. They were currently out of stock also.
Within about 2 weeks I recieved it in the mail.
Hope this helps your endeavors on finding the tank you want. Good Luck.

ohh, thats awsome!thanks for the help!also, is the 70 a good size for playing front too? i play all around, so i needed the extra air for when i play back, but i didnt know about front.

Lots of people prefer the 45 ci tanks for up close, they seem too small for me. I don't seem to have a problem with my 68 when I play front. The 70 stubs are even shorter so you should be fine. Just realize that it is going to weigh more than a 45 so you might have to beef up thoes arms for snap shooting.

ya the 70 is good for all around but its just aliitle haevier, which isnt that bad. ya just have to do some weights or somthin.
