Dude, run a search. This dilema has been brought forward more times than I can count. The most recent being within a week.

My advice is that if you have a hopper that works well for you, don't mess it up by changing hoppers.
Count yourself fortunate and keep the halo.

yeah, i agree with Bigal if your halo is running just fine for you now...there is no reason to switch loaders and have any possible screw ups. Just keep the halo

The reloader b pushes the balls very hard and my friend has problems with his overfeeding.

Completely off topic, but I didn't even go with a Halo B... It kept force-feeding too hard, so I went back to my Egg...

I've done a lot of 'tweaking' of my halo. Improved performance signficantly but I used an egg for the first time last weekend and it plus the speed05 was putting down walls of paint. It's the first time I've ever had an occasion to unload the hopper and not been stopped by barrel breaks. It was very nice.
Anyway, can't say that I've given up on the halo, just wanted to prove to myself that I could have fun with the egg.

reloader B all the way
yup yup, reloader b picks up all the paint colors, cause it is sound activated, and it the sensor things in the halo b, if they get dirty you have to clean em off. no cleaning with the reloader b

reloader b also effectively crams paint into the feedneck causing the paint to break. so there is definitely cleanup involved in a reloader b. some people tho do have luck with them and never have any problems. maybe your one of those people

I had horrible problems with my reloader B doing just that, I traded mine in for a halo but I think I'm gonna bo back. I just ordered the RAS Jam Bolt which is supposed to eliminate rollback so it should be ok with the reloader-B (which is waaaay faster). The problem with the reloader-b was that it had problems with small bore brittle paint, which is common at the field I usually play at. It would shoot ropes without any problems with thick shell med-large bore paint which I think explains most of the success stories.

yea, it is mostly the paint that is used that is the problem. I have been using cheap paint lately and having no problems, well i had 2 chops out of 4000 rounds, but otherwise im good.

i thought odessey halo b's and empire reloader b's had the same "engine" -or whatever you call it- in them. how does it go "waaaay faster"?

Yeah how does it aren't the both 22+, I thought the only difference was the Empire had and eye AND it was sound activated.

well the empire is sound activated but it doesnt have an eye
empire - sound (sound-activated)
odessey - sight (eye)

thats why yo ucant use dark shelled paint with the halo but with the reloader you can use any paint you want.
people tell me that but my halo has never had trouble seeing dark shelled paint. maybe mine is special

I am a new Speed 05 owner, but I have used the Empire Reloader B and Halo B extensively. Because the Empire uses sound instead of IR in order to feed paint, any sound whatsoever will cause the feeding cone to move. This sounds great in theory, but as the motor winds forward the force applied to the paint in the stack continues to increase. This increase in pressure will cause enormous problems on your Angel in chopping paint! In essence, every shake of the loader as you move, run, or slide will cause your feeder to cycle without regard to whether your Angel needs paint or not. Hope this helps.
Jason
well put renrag, and welcome to the forum!

I just bought my reloader today but i will try El pirata's way by just using 4 AA batts.

Don't forget to leave it on the middle setting in addition to the 4 aa's.

EL, I did the 4AA setup on speed 3 and it still shot 500 balls fine. So im gonna play with that tommorow until i see a problem.
