I believe I have solved the problem. After talking with TriggaNometry05 for awhile last night, I decided today I would try his idea of drilling down the center and thru the side of the brass "cone" in the Evolve LPR. In theroy, the reason for your shootdown was your Evolve LPR wasnt letting enough air to the rest of the gun. Well, by drilling those holes in the brass cone, the air flow was GREATLY increased, and I now have 0 problems with shootdown, AND I even have my stock LPR set at 80psi.

If you dont have a drill press, get ahold of me.

what about LPR stability? i find when i set the LPR, say at 70 psi, if i rip on it (note, this is set the LPR with the evolve adjuster) when i rip on it, i will climb in pressure as high as 5 psi. than, whilst in rest, the pressure will drop to it's original pressure... 70 psi, but, if i leave it for a long time, like 10 minuts, it may even drop in pressure... 3 or 4 psi.

have you noticed any stability? please lemme know asap, and i'll drill it out monday at school.

oh, and what size bit did you use?

Whoops, I forget with bit I used, I'll have to go into the shop tomorrow and look(lucky for me I work for my dad who is in the Tool and Wire Drawing Die industry and get to play with all sorts of cool machines"

But yeah, my LPR was horribly unstable before(the Evolve LPR that is), this has helped in everything!

I am so glad it worked for ya!

I have the modified cone in there in my set-up too and I am going to try it out this Sunday during game day. We should mention that this will probably VOID your Evolve warranty. So perform the mod with caution!

I have also learned why I could not get my LPR pressure below 60psi when using the Newton Cap. My adjuster screw was too short (8mm). I threw on a 12mm screw on there (metric size M4 or 4mm x 12mm) and now it works like a charm. I am fully adjust the LPR to anywhere I wish. Chris777 mentioned to me that I probably had a short screw and it should have been shipped with a longer screw. This 12mm screw works great.

If anyone needs any 12mm screw, drop me a PM and I can mail one out to ya. They cost a only $0.38 for two at Home Depot.

As far as shootdown, I will test that this weekend along with modified cone. I had zero shootdown at rapid fire at 60psi using the Newton cap (with my mod'ed cone) so I have no doubt that this will still work. I don't expect to get too low with my LPR pressure until the system is good an broken in but for now, I am just glad that Chris777 (Evolve) hooked me up by saying that my screw was probably too short for my particular LPR. Now I can take full advantage of the Newton LPR.
