Ok heres the deal. I was using a friends angel speed while hes in iraq and the gun and when he baught it, it did not come with a charger. So i ended up letting the battery die by accident (left it on). So i read the manual and asked around and asked if i could use a non angel charger but with the correct voltage. People did not think there would be any problem with doing this. But i shortly found out after there was. Even though the charger was the right voltage i believe it fried the board. It smelt fried when i went to check on it and it was pretty hott. Now all the board will do is switch on for about 1 second then turn off , the lights flash but then it just turns off. So i proceeded to buy the right charger and tried charging it again. But i had no success the board would not charge. So ive come to the conclusion (unless told otherwise) that i have fried the board. So my final question is what board should i buy to replace the dead one. Should i go ahead and purchase a replacement speed board or buy an A4 board for 50 more dollars? Im not sure which to do and im on a tight budget and thats where u guys come in. Any advice?

in my opinion, the A4 board isn't worth the extra cost...

The A4 board you get the LCD screen which is nice because it gives you alot more features such as game timers and shot counters etc, as well as being able to change settings alot easier.

The speed board is a simple, turn on and shoot board.

And yeah even though the voltages are the same you will toast the board (which is what happened). Its a tough lesson to learn.

LED or LCD? its all preference. i like the LED style board but i know that the LCD has some neat features.
so i would say go for the LED board, unless you know your friend likes the LCD, and you wanna spend the extra cash.

At Impact you can get a neew speed board for free, but if I were you get a Fly or a Euro.

I think the extra fearures you get with the LCD board are really unnecessary. Go with the speed board.

He kinda voided his warrenty when he used a non angel charger on it.

You said PEOPLE told you to use the charger. Who was it the guy at Radio Shack?

There IS a radioshack charger you can use. However you are still using the Angel charger to the gun. The famous "radioshack wall charger" is a wall to cigarette adapter that you then plug your angel charger into.
