Hi,
Well I got a used 05 speed that I can't get the LPR to go down below 90psi even with all the shims taken out. I read in the manual or on here or someplace that the main seal in the LPR can go bad in a season or so, and I know this gun has seen alot of paint.
So if there is anybody out there that has had a similar problem with their 05 speed tell me what they did to cure it. Before anybody asks it yes everything is lubed probaly, and yes the mini-reg is functioning perfectly, because I can get the gun to chrono in from the range of 150-320+.
If it is the main seal on the LPR how much would it cost to replace it, and is it a good ideal to not play with the gun with the LPR reading 90psi?

The LPR Service Pack (http://secure.fixmyangel.com/catalog-product19) is pretty cheap and you can rebuild/fix the LPR yourself.

A new LPR (http://secure.fixmyangel.com/catalog-product18) costs about $30.

I haven't had the problem. However, the 05 manual gives a good description how to service the LPR. You might just want to get the Service Pack and have a go at it yourself.

Are you sure all of the shims are out and not the 4 spring washers? Try a dental pick to remove any shims that might still be there. If it's still shiny silver color then you still have shims.

All shims are gone, I am going to just purchase the LPR rebuild kit. I think the main seal in it is bad.

Thats exactly what it is, and the rebuilt kit is half the price.
