Ok, I bought my 05 speed like a couple months ago and then a couple weeks after that the guy who works at my local pb shop that sold it to me said he had something special for me and to bring my gun. So I do. He then takes it in the back tinkers with it I'm guessing, comes back out gives me these 2 little discs that were in the gun and then tells me to try it out. Holy crap it rips! A couple months pass and then my friend gets him an 05 speed from the same place, and the guy does the trigger job on his one like mine. Now my friend says that are guns are illegal and stuff. I want to know what the guy did to the gun and what is illegal about it. I press the trigger once and only one ball shoots out. Doesn't that mean it doesn't have bounce? I just checked the settings and they trigger offset was set to 5 LED's. All the lights were lit up except the one under the top big red one.

illegal triggers have to be judge first hand. the guy probably took ur magnet(s) out. the manual will tell you that 5leds is the most "bounce" you can have, one being the least

LOL. Mv paintball get a clue bro. What he did was take out the 2 llittle rubber washers that are there to provide resistance against the trigger frame and against the trigger itself. Wdp did did this to actually slow the gun down. Yes that right to slow it down. They wanted slow the gun down because many referees have never seen a gun so fast and would believe it to be an illegally set up marker. But in truth the gun is really just that fast. You are fine. I took those rubber trigger washers out of mine as well. There is a big article about it in the Jan edition of Face Full Magazine. Anyway it is not creating bounce and you are fine.

Have fun and keep rippin away Wdp Style!

Those washers were put in cause you can single finger and get mad bounce without them. Just try it.

I would suggest putting them back on before trying it on a robot, the last time someone did that the robot got the most severe beating of its life and tried to jump off the table lol

Where are this washers located at?

On top of the trigger.

I wouldnt suggest taking them out if you play tournaments.

orracle gangsta-I dont think i was that off target, it was either the magnets or the washers, being he said discs, not rubber washers. There are people who take A magnet, i just thought the tech took out both. I'll get in touch with Sherlock Holmes first next time

The washers are attached to the pin that is mounted on the bearings in the trigger. They rub between the side of the frame and the trigger itself which produces enough friction to slow down the snap of the trigger return. Without the washers it could cause the trigger to get a bit of bounce back toward the rear magnet enough to cause the marker to runaway. I just pulled mine out last week and have not had any problems with bounce, however, I would not tighten the trigger so short a mouse could break wind and set it off. Otherwise, I am certain you would get mechanical bounce and no amount of trigger snubbing will correct this issue.

"i went to my shop today to get the mag mod and i asked about the washers,
he said that the recently shipped 05's are coming packaged without washers on the
trigger, as there is almost no diffrence except an even lighter pull. if your bag with the
tools came with 2 small rubber washers about half a cm in diameter, then there already
off" Thanks to Zinn!!! :hitit:

So is it illegal or not? I can pull the trigger once and only one ball shoots out. Doesn't that mean there isn't any bounce?

You are probably fine, just so long as the trigger doesn't ever run away on you. IE. you are firing fast and the gun continues to fire after you have stopped pulling the trigger.

Your good dont stress now. 1 pull + 1 ball = a good gun

Vantage_TeS

It doesnt make it illegal just to have them off.

WDP had a problem with the trigger bouncing so they put them on. It's possible to have it not bounce with them off. It all depends on your trigger setup.

WHen will WDP release new board software like the fly and are they making any other ups for the speed

not if you play psp, it seemed every "fast" angel was illegal to the refs, "OMG it shoots as fast/faster as my *timmy, matrix, shocker* it msut be illegal!"

if it even begins to pick up rof they will consider it illegal, all these new rules are getting gay IMO.

Open the left side grip panel. Disconnect the wires from the board. Remove the grip frame.look in the top of the frame, you can't miss them. There is also 2 screws in there holding the trigger pin in place.

pballer2
02-19-2005, 11:40 PM

rippa if there is two lil back rubber washers in the o ring bag they have been remove

wulfekuhler

Well, I removed these rubber disks and got some major bounce.
1st i hit the back of my tank, and it went off. I didn't even have to hit it too hard.
2nd i found a very sweet spot, and the gun just went full auto. Kinda fun, but very illegal.

I think my trigger is too short, and it is moving too easily for having no rubber washer dealios.

I'll be leaving them off, and make the trigger a little longer. I'll post how it goes

If anyone knows a really good thread on trigger adjustments, could you please give me a link. I havn't searched yet, but if anyone wants to give a link, feel free.

The vernier wheels have magnets on them. Supposedly the big magnet is supposed to be in the rear however mine came stock with the big magnet in the front which will give the trigger a magnetic boost. I changed my magnets so the big one is in the rear. It's a slightly harder pull but it's less prone to accidentally going off and with the rubber washers removed the trigger is super fast that way.

this is an old thread but w/e.

how did you do it?

El Pirata
02-26-2005, 09:22 PM
How did I do what? Change the vernier wheels? It's easy. Loosen both the left and right vernier wheel set screws, remove the grip frame, change out vernier wheel positions and reassemble. Piece a cake.

pballer2
02-26-2005, 09:23 PM
so putting the big wheel in the front will make the trigger faster? if so would it be a good idea to put it in the front with my rubber disks out

El Pirata
02-26-2005, 09:27 PM
I would advise keeping the big one in the rear. The pull is slightly harder however you will not have your marker firing just by closing your hopper. I have mine set super sensitive and I thught it to be way way too light. I switched so the big magnet was in the rear, as it is supposed to be but mine didn't come that way, and I like the trigger even better than ever. Without the washers they thing is insanely fast now.

El Pirata

Actually you have the move the whole wheel because the size of the magnets make it not possible to just switch the magnets.

Are you using metric allen wrenches? Everything on the Angel is metric

ya i found my allen wrench which had mysteriously made its way under my bed...anyway, after i adjusted it and took it off my trigger was like stiff and such but after tinkering with it i got it back to normal. If you plan on removing the washers make sure you put everything back the way it was and try not to mess with anything else or it will mess up the trigger like mine. If you do mess it up just keep trying to make it the way it used to be..its not too hard.
