Do apologize if I am repeating existing post on LRP adjustment.

Reading through the manual, factory suggests LPR pressure should be at 65psi. My red dust stock was around 45psi. Added a couple of shims to bring the pressure to 65psi.
I've added mid size volumizer as well.
Have dwell at 10.....

afte dry firing a few hundred shots, I've noticed shots were getting louder and louder. And at times, air will vent out of solenoid with loud "hoop" noise.

What do you guys think might be the problem with louder noise and venting by the solenoid?

Hey Sam, howzit? Sounds like the mini-reg might be spiking. The increase in decibel level is an indication of increased air volume (pressure increase) as does the solenoid venting from an over-pressurre condition.

I'd suggest you verify the mini-regs output. There was a post somewhere here on the forum on how to make an guague assembly for this purpose. You may also want to disassemble the mini-reg to check the condition of it's seals, replace if necessary and regrease per manual.

Another thing is take the shims back out, re-guage the LPR, and test again at original settings. See if the condition persists at original LPR setting as received.

Sadly, if it was working good before the change, no need to change it.

Hey Rix, what's going on?
Took your advice and I took the shims out...working perfectly now. I guess it was those shims.

thank you sir!

Glad to have been of some productive help! It is possible that the additional shims pushed the LPR psi o/p beyond the recommended range. I have found that unless you use the WDP guage to VERIFY the LPR psi, you cannot reliably depend on the manuals claim of approximately 5 psi per shim. My personal experience has been anywhere from 2-8 psi per shim and it varies from marker to marker as well...
