my display works, i just dont see that bright green light anymore. is there a bulb or can it be fixed?

You need a new display probably..your backlight burned out. Im not 100% sure on this but I think you only need to replace the LCD light not the whole board. Get in touch with some of the sponsors or your local pro shop that deals with WDP see what they got

I was messing around with my board one time and removed the Jumpers that reside in the little "L" shaped window, this dimmed my back light considerably. Check to see if the jumpers are there or if they have been removed. If they are there, then make sure they are connected correctly.

Are you sure that you just didn't turn the backlight off in the menu?

Yes there is a backlight menu option, check the iR3 manual page 14 for info on how to turn it on and off.
