Except its been my experience that they are a little tall; even with a low rise and a horizontal drop. I'm wondering if the frame can be shortened down a little.

Hey since Angels are the best out there... somebdy let me know what IR3 is choice so i can pick one up.. i used to own a 2000 or 2001 LCD bt sold it due to some leaking problems i have a free flow cocker and matrix right now but am looking for the next step up... i hear tons of stuff about how they rock then a lot about how they suck.... maybe they are just jealous right? i am a front player and need something light!
what companies' ir3 (fly) is the best out there?
do all stores now have the mem6 opto trigger and cops 2 or are thy selling older models?
is it around $1400? (thats kinda my limit for now)
and is the Angel AIR choice? should i pick one of those up. if not then which air system (have max flow now)..
all you ir3 owners.. emil me at DIABLOmatrixGUY@aol.com and let em know a little bit about your experiences with the ir3
accuracy, speed, settings, problems... you know all that good stuff... thanks to anyone who will write back and help me pick out the best ir3

You should easily be able to find a cool IR3 for under $1400, unless you want a custom milled one.
I love my Impact IR3. Nothing bad to speak of. I use MaxFlo's on all my Angels. The AIR's are cool too, but there are a few cases of problems with them, but I think that problem is in the past.
All IR3s have pretty much the same performance. The custom milled ones are more expensive, but have a better warranty. I think that Impact has the best warranty though. They don't have to see your old receipt or warranty card. Plus Mark Costas does a great job of tuning the markers before he mails them out.
Also check out Warped Sportz and Cobra Paintball for other custom Angels. But once again, the internals on ALL IR3s are the same. Just make sure you get one with Mem 6 and Cops 2.

On other websites I politely posted info about this award that the IR3 had received. And sheesh did I get some rough feedback. They had excuses out the wazoo, and all kinds of crap, like they'd rather shoot an A-5 than an IR3. I don't get why there are so many Angel haters? Is it just jealousy? It seemed like everybody used to love Angels.

They sure won't admit it!
With the Cobras you get a different bolt, other than that they are all the same,...except for my Mamba's sexy look.

the thing is, is that people don't like what they can't have or don't understand? so those little kids who's parents won't buy them the big guns until they get better grades. hate these guns, because they can't have them.

Yea, but some people come to appreciate the gun for what it is....
I mean, i'm only 15, but im going to get a job this summer and save up for an ir3. I don't have one at the moment. (i use a 98 custom) but i dont diss the gun because i don't have it either. I'm confused on what model i should buy, and what air system i should use with it/what its capable of using. Im kind of leaning more towards a C+C... Can somone help me?

Hey Euro, im 15 too. I bought my angel used, A 2k2 C+C Tatoo anodized LCD. It's incredible. I would say buy a good condition used Angel. There are plenty on this site man. The reason behind this is you usually get a great set-up with some aftermarket parts, all for less than a new one would cost. Mine came with a Titanium Boomstick, Dual KAPP volumizers, and a chrome Low Rise. Watch out though dude, there are alot of angel haters, you will be targeted because your young too. Alot of people go nuts when they see a young kid playing with such an expensive gun. I have a job and work hard to earn things like this, but they don't understand that. My advice, buy used, play hard, and show those angel haters the reason you earned those wings.
