I just got my Fly today, and when I checked the board, there is this white goo/lube looking stuff on the leaf spring. What is this for, or can I just wipe it off?

I believe it's meant to reduce friction between the pin/set screw (on the trigger) and the leaf spring when you depress the trigger. Metal against metal resistance is better lubed.

So then I should leave it on forever?

i wiped mine off. as mentioned, it's just lube. really there isnt enough force, or friction to need lubrication on that part of a gun. infact, because the load is so small, the grease may even act more sticky that it does slippary.

^^^ however the lubrication will also reduce wear from metal to metal contact. Small detail, but it's another reason for the lubrication. Since it comes from the factory as such, I've opted to leave it on.
