LCD is DEAD... replacement?

my lcd has had so much damage to it (from the sun i imagine) that i cannot possibly read it anymore. can i buy a new screen or do i need to buy a whole new board (if thats the case then bye bye angel)

you can buy a used board from a MT for about 75$, just look around on there sites,

is that a easy thing to put on or should i take it somwhere do be done.

im not too good with technical stuff like that unless its like snap on snap off or something
