Here are a few questions that can hopefully be answered:
1. Is the G7 software for its board exclusive to the G7? So can it be put in a 4 Fly?
2. Can the new G7 low pressure regulator be put in a 4 Fly or a Speed 05?
3. Can the new G7 hammer and lock mechanism be put in a 4 Fly or a Speed 05?
4. Can the inline enclosed spring exhaust valve stem assembly be put in a 4 Fly or a Speed 05?
I am very sorry for all the noob questions. If a master tech is available, please try to answer my questions if you can for the will be deciding whether I get a Speed 05 or a 4 Fly. Thank you for your assistance in this process.

1- probably not, its probably a version of 3.7 or .8
2- i would say yes, but i really wouldnt care cuz u cant get much lower than what the fly runs at already
3- if it could, you would have to drill a hole in the backplate.
4- by the looks of it, no.
Really, no one can be sure of these questions until March 18th. Dont take my word for it, its IMO as an flied 4 owner.

think about it
If it does hurt your speed at all, it will only go down maybe 50-100 bucks. The fly will be goin for prolly just over 1000. The o5 will NOT go lower than 800 anytime in the near future, so hang tight.

when new software comes out for the g7, it will probably come out for the speed 05,
thats why you have a software version meter on the back of your speed,
anyway, how much of a difference can software make, please explain. new to angels

because you can put the g7 software in an 05 speed only it wont hurt your 05 speed at all if you do put the software inyour gun

You'll first have to wait another 2 days, 17 hours and 48 minutes before they will even have the product out before you can think about buying a G-7 board.

Not saying I hope anything is wrong with the G7, I just know how flawed many of the first run speed 05's are, I wouldn't worry about your A4 for a bit. The A4 fly folks are the ones who will lose their butts once this thing hits the market. Already A4 flys are going for less than 800 on ebay. The A4 should still hold its own against many of the angels out there right now. The G7 is still only as fast as the speed 05. For those of us with the 05, we have found problems with breaking and chops anytime we use a Halo B and exceed 22 bps. I want to see the G7 rip 31 bps without one break, chop, or burp and then I will be impressed. I may actually consider upgrading then, but if the FSDO is a problem during rapid firing and the Halo B and Reloader still cause breaking problems, I will stick with old faithful....and economical.

How does this make any sense. The A4 Fly is a milled down A4 WITH eyes. Why would it drop more than the A4? Fact is ALL electronics drop when the next generarion comes out. I buy a new Angel every year....doesn't concern me. If it did I would have stuck with my Dark LCD.

Actually tgallo, the A4 Fly uses the fly engine internals, slayer trigger and a few other mods that were not part of the A4. Also, initial price of the Fly was about 300-400 higher than the A4 which is about the same as the G7 in price. Sine the Fly will more than likely sell for the same price as an A4 stock then it will depreciate much more than a standard A4. Think about it, why would anyone buy an A4 fly if the G7 has all the benefits of the fly; fly engine internals, different valve, different milling, different mini-reg, sideways noid, lower profile, low feedneck, new software, and faster ROF. WDP would have to drop the price considerably to empty their stock of A4 flys as they could not sell them for 1100-1300 when the G7 offers better features in all those categories with newer technology. WDP will want to empty their stock. DYE did the same thing with their DM4, they dumped all of them by dropping the price 400-500 dollars before the release of the DM5 and brought the DM5 out for the same price the DM4 was when it was first introduced. It is simple microeconomics. Every industry does it, auto, boat, electronics, you name it. Next years model comes out with a few bells and whistles, prices usually drop 30-50% on the previous years model.

man i would love to have a g7, but frankly it's just too much money. i can't justify spending more money on the newest thing when i've yet to ever experience any lack of performance with my 2k3 speed. that thing is a friggin tank. i'm kinda hoping the flys do come down in price so i might be able to get something with eyes. that'd be the only other angel i think i'd buy. cuz well... WDP makes such great guns you don't need to change lol. i mean 31 bps is unreal and extremely cool, but my fingers will never get over 20
