OK, I dont see a thread like this so here goes. I am trying to figure out which on is better and will be better in the long run. I have heard the Halo has some problems with sensing some paint colors and crushing balls, I have not heard anything bad about the Reloaders except for the price. What do you all use and have you had any problems?

I just bought a new speed 05 to supplement my aging warped sportz dark lcd with revo loader. Tried a friend's Halo B on the speed and its breaking balls. (everyone says to lube the belt with food grade silicone but it didn't work.) I bought a reloader B, and again lubed the belt. Still doesn't work, breaking paint every 4th or 5th ball. Put an evolution on, and the marker is on fire with no breakage. However, same friend says he has had some reliability problems with Evos in the past. Still too new to tell for me...but its good so far.

Use the biggest paint possible if using a halo with an angel.

Since it literally forces balls into the marker with the cavernous breech of Angel's you can get 1 ball in the breech and 1 ball hanging slightly inside and when the bolt closes you will fire the first and pinch the second causing chaos. Problem worsens with more balls broken for sure.

Anyone else have any insight?

The reloaderB and a halo with v35 chops/breaks paint in my fly. They both do it after even adjusting eye sensitivity and greasing the belt in them. Both of them keep up very well with the fly.

I would go with the reloaderB if I didn't have choping problems with forcefed loaders because it blinks when its on. There has been many times when my halo will shut off without me knowing and then I have to turn it back on when I sit inbetween games.

Both I have used and have been wonderful on dm4/5 and timmies however.

I paid a little under 140 for a smoke v35 halo with rip drive but now probally would have gone down the reloaderB route simply for it flashing when its on.

Sound like it's bad quality paint, or very cold out. I'd say go with Reloader B, very very fast. And stick an Aluminum or Delrin cone in it.
One thing you might want to see....
Turn on a Halo w/Victory Board on at maximum setting (35 BPS) with no paint and watch it spin. Now turn on an Empire at maximum setting (3 blinks). Scream at it and watch it go. I've never seen a Victory Board on max setting but my teammates tell me mine is by far much faster then their victory boards.

i saw a post similar to this...the solution to the problem was to turn down your halo or reloader to the 1st or 2nd speed(if you have that option). The fastest setting is breaking the balls by using to much force and pinches when next in the breech.

I have not have a prob w/my empire reloader b w/my 05peed.

halo b v35 and reloaders both work fine. if you are lazy and don't clean your hopper get a reloader. i have a haloB V35 on my g7 put about 10 cases through it already and still havn't broken one ball.

Use a Halo B on my G7s, not a ball chopped.

I'm sure the halo is def adding to your chopping probs by supplying greater force on the ball stack....but if you adjust the ram correctly you shouldn't have this prob....Myself and 2 other angels in my crew run with halos with no breaks....I personally run with the v35 plus the PR mod....NO BREAKS and its been about 4-5 cases since I did break paint, which all ended with proper adjustment of the ram.

BUT THAT RELOADER INTELLIFEED POSTED SOMEWHERE IN THIS FORUM LOOKS LIKE IT RIPS.

They both work great but from my experiance it took a bit more tinkering to get the Halo working than the reloader. If you get a halo your probably going to be adjusting the ram, tinkering with sensitivity, and finding the best hopper setting (2) most likely. But with the reloader I kept it on 1 and there wasn't any problems. IMHO the evo II is by far the most reliable, but at the cost of bps.

get a cheap used halo....and intellifeed it...that way you have better than both... one of my teammates has it on his gun and it is far faster and far more reliable than either...im still building up the courage to drill my site rail ... and my other teammate is doing the same...

My G7 is fitted with a reloade B, like they said, keep it in the lowest or second to lowest speed.... if you use to much a ball is boud to break in the breach due to excesive force...
I would only use it in 3rd speed (fastest) if shooting full auto... and I dont...

and yes, it goes faster than the victory board, but it doesn;t need to, because each shot will push about 4 balls into the breach...

the best option is a reloader B

Evolutions I would not touch it with a 16inch barrel

Take care

i use reloader b on fastest and have never broke in breech no matter what marker i have used. i think most of u have not properly set up your marker or just use §§§§ paint, which i cant figure out. why pay high dollar for marker then skimp on inferior paint ?

i will never understand this

Are aftermarket drive cones like the critical drive, really necessasary?

Not necessary, but are good if you go through drive tabs a lot.

Halo B with victory. Its super fast. (If you really think you need more than 35 bps, then youre crazy anyway). I havent broken a ball in my g7 fly yet, and dont plan on it but its still kinda early, as ive only been using the victory board for testing and it hasnt seen the field yet. I ran over 1000 balls through it, though without breaking a single ball. I got it up to 28 bps, and it still fed flawlessly. I've seen on other threads where people claim to have changed the mode during a game...unlikely. you have to hold the button down for a number of seconds before you even have the opportunity to do so. Then, you have to press the button a number of times again to actually change the mode. 5 stars from me so far. :biggthump
