heres a good one, if u want to snap shoot better, just find a mirror that u have some space to move around, go to the edge of the mirror so that u cant see urself anymore, and then snap shoot into the mirror, no, not using paint or air or anything, well, if u want to bu hey, i wouldnt. and just perfect ur skills, how far u come out, how fast u snap back in, and all that jazz, its helped me.

too add to that snap shooting one, you can have a teammate in the mirror, and then have a snap shooting contest, you can only take one shot then you have to get back behind your bunker, then you can pop back out, you can post up if you get the upper hand on your teammate. do this until somebody gets shot or you run out of paint.
and if you like this you can try running up to these bunkers so that you heart is going,

then to work on running and shooting, you take you team and spilt it in half and put them at opposite corners, then send players one at a time down both sides and have them shot at each other the entire time, if you get hit just keep going and shooting.

^that's suppose to be a feild and the Xs are the players, and then they run like it shows and shot at each, i haven't try this one yet because my feild is in the middle of the woods and i would end up running into a tree

i guess i have to give credits to Dynasty Dyssected Vol. 1
^ it's a great movie i learned a lot and both drills are great

okay heres one for back players to perfect their "sweet spotting" skillz.
Divide your team up, by back players and front/mid players.
send all back players to one side of the field, and the front/mids the other side of the field. Start the drill as a normal game, and have all Front/mid players one at a time run from the start box, to the first bunker. They have to touch that bunker, and then run to a second bunker, and etc. They continue this until they reach the "Fifties". The back players on go, lane shoot between each bunkers, as the front/mid runs to it. This helps the back players hone their 'Sweet Spotting" and "Lanning" skills, and the front/mid players, build speed, confidence in running though ropes of paint. It will help your whole team. I post more drills later.

___________________________[ Start]________________________

(1) (2) (3) 10yard

(5) (4) 20yard

(6) (7) 30yard

(9) (8) 40yard

(10) 50yard
__________________________________________________ _____________________

Runners start at the start box, and run to every bunker, touching them as they go, they can stop only for a couple seconds at any bunker. They go in order that the numbers indicate. They are done, once they reach the 50yard bunker.
The Backplayers lane shoot from the other side, if they hit the runner, the runner has to start over.

u find a big heel then on ur tiptoes u run up and down tell u cant any more. this will help u crouch runand shoot tat the same time. to make it more dificult try using ur gun during these drills

Hide and seek.
Heres a cheap drill, that doesn't require paint. Just split your team in half, and have one side of the team, "hide" in any bunkers on there side of the fifty. The other side of the team, then "seeks" them. They just yell out if they can see them hiding, and if they are able to hit them, where they are at. The point to this drill, is to get use to playing tight in your bunker. Just yell friendly advise as to what to improve on your stance/postion.

Standups you stand, laydowns you lay, mid height ones you kneel. This is dependent upon the height of the person. Someone your size could probably make a laydown a standup.

first of all if you are in a kneeling situation try to get used to staying off of both knees, I try not to kneel at all, more of a lowered running stance. This way if the need for a quick switch up or running, bunkering oppurtinity arises you will not have lost valuable seconds gettin to your feet because you are already in running stance, it also makes it easier to pivot from one side of the bunker to the other. second, as far as your placement behind a bunker, the fisrt thing I do is take quick notice of my feet, knees, elbows, and any other extremity you may be cursed with, is inside the banker and not being bullseye material. you would be surprised how often you have to pull a part of your body back into a bunker.

I also run alot of one man drills (face it nobody seems to like drills) and I would say one that has helped me the most is a left hand right hand switch while snap shooting. I kneel for this drill because my balance blows, but anyway. start by kneeling behind a bunker not much wider than yourself, a dorito or stand up can, or if you are at home and hurting for something, rubbermaid makes a great bunker in a pinch. start out by putting three targets out in any position that would model how you might see a hopper, knee, or knoggin. Now start off slowly and concentrate on hitting the targets, then pick up speed taking one shot with one hand switch hands(not just positions but actual shooting hands) then take a shot out of the other side. Concentrate on one target per "session". So you are swinging from the right side of the bunker shooting with your right hand to the left side of the bunker shooting with your left. you may feel like an idiot but it will improve you game. control your shots dont just shoot the heck out of everything.

I also practice my wrap around by standing behind a bunker and placing targets out, one at somewhere near my mirror and one more toward the center of the field.

O.K. so the x is you and the o's are the bunkers with the tagets( minus the one you are standing behind) Now shoot the target in front of you when you hit it wrap around and shoot the other one. I would say do this until you are proficient at hitting the second target within a couple of seconds.

a good snapshooting drill i use is to set a target (i always use an empty can or coke bottle, somethign that is about the size of a hopper) on a bunker around 20-25 feet (about bunker to bunker length) and pop out and just fire one or two shots as fast as possible, about what you would normally have time to shoot, and get back behind the bunker. Just keep popping back in and out from behind the bunker until you hit the object. It helps me develop really quick accuracy and hand eye coordination. also helps reaction time.

You can also play capture the flag where 1 or more "runners"( depends on the size of the teams) dont have guns. this helps in team communication and covering fire while the runners go from bunker to bunker. Its also fun just to play it this way even if you dont want to use as a drill

good for front players, have him start at one deadbox, then have 3 back players with 1 hopper each start at other deadbox, no crossing the 50 for either team, the front player, with no gun, has to touch each and every bunker on his side of the 50 without getting hit

some notes
if you cant hit hat you are shooting at running full speed, dont run full speed. i would much rather see your accuracy on the move get better before you start turning up the heat. this doesnt mean walk through everything, but keep it at a good pace, hit what you are shooting. the speed will come.

if you take a good solid bounce while doing drills, considere it as a break. remember we are drilling w §§§§ paint

these are some running gunning drills that philly americans use.

sweetspotting.
you have runners and shooters.
runners on one side, shooters on the other.
basically, just practice breakouts.
have all your backs on one side and all your mids/fronts on the other. coach calls go, it is a standard breakout.
this works best if no one runs up the middle with a tall stand up type 50. no one benefits from you running there.

have yur backs do what they would do in most game break situations.

as soon as the fronts slide in, drill is done. start over
if you got hit, r took a bounce, tell the backs, figure out who was shooting your lane and let him know he is on target. this way, they will know who needs the laning work. that doesnt meen the guy hitting you every time gets to sit out.

couple options for the fronts and mids.
you have to carry full gear, but as a group we decide whether or not to even turn the guns on. we ran this drill for a while with guns off for the froints and i think it was as huretfull as it was helpfull. backs need to be headsup when laning, and fronts, mids can always use the run gun practice.

run and shoot long distance.

one player starts at each hme bunker. on the whistle break out to the mirror corner, trying to shoot the other guy out. hit the corner and switch sides so you get the off hand work too. et your opponent know if he hit you.

we went corner to corner at planet ony because of the narrowness of the field, but oonce we get outdoors, we can have 2 groups going at once, 2 in each home breaking out to opposite corners.

or even to vary it up and make it more difficult ,
have onlyu one groupl at once and run to opposite corners, this will help with the cross body shots and an even further range of you accuracy.

short distance run and shoot.

this ones gonna hurt

take a player in each starting box and have them run to say a 40/50 ish bunker while trying to shoot out the other guy, pretty simple drill but you can get shot a §§§§ load.
the point of this drill is to hit him as early as possible, it gets easier the further you get, but you dont wantit easy do you. agian bounces count, let em know.

run and shoot timed

this drill requires some setting up, think shooting boxes.

but not run thru shooting boxes.

this will also help with bumping and moving

from the start you run to a predetermined bunker (same for everybody) and shoot at a specific target, might be down the tape, might be a wrap shot, or cross field
( you get the idea)
as soon as you hiot that target you bump to another pre determined bunker and do the same.

some where after the 50 start a run thru with one box, shoot it slide in, wrap and shoot another box, get up and bunker out the back center,

if you miss the run thru box, get back in line, your out.

again take it at your own pace, drill are not a race. if you drill the wrong way, you wil play the wrong way. why practice bad habits.

moving.

fronts start one at a time at one end.
stack the back three bunkers with shooters on the other side.
we keep our guns off, only to get the drill going faster.

front guy takes off for a bunker, slides in and immediateley takes a secondary, when he gets up for his first move, another guy makes his break.

as the second guy makes his secondary then the 3rd goes and so on untill we are all puking.

you can walk off the field on 2 ccasions
you get shot or you make it to the bunker line right in front of the backs.

the reason i say fronts and mids have guns off is because this drill is all about movement under fire, not relying on your gun so much. if your gun was on it is to tempting to get into a gun battle. gun battles suck and you only have a 50-50 chance of winning it. i dont care who you are.

move to get the side shot. it is so much more gratifying nailing someone in the side of the head with 3 balls than a snap shot and oneballing his hopper

another very inportant skill to have is being able to find and shoot blind spots.
if you see a guy running to a bunker that you know yuo cant see, but know that you have a shot shoot the shot, its funny atching guys walking off the field scratching there head like "where the

Taps: This is a favorite of both fronts and backs a like as it helps both out. Have your back players (2 or 3) start at their "Key 3, 5, 7, 10" bunkers in the back, have your fronts (gun's are optional as fronts do not return fire) start at the starting box on the other side of the field. When the whistle blows the back players attempt to hit the fronts (practicing laneing and hitting a target that's exposed for short runs) while the fronts objective is to "tap" every single bunker on their half of the field, ending with the center 50. It's VERY tiring, but do it 3-4 times and suddenly you can run through walls of paint without a problem.

Can-Can: This is how I learned to snap shoot. Take one player and place him at one bunker at the 10 or 20, then take another player and place him at the 50-60. Have the two of them snap-shoot at each other. We usually play till 5 hits. No point stopping the drill for one hit, unless it's a goggle hit. We also have a coach running around kicking our feet in, or telling us to get closer, ect...have someone watch you to point out what you did wrong.

Trap shoot: Keying off the break is an important skill. So try this one. Take your backs and place them on a line (doesn't need to be on the field). Have them start in their starting positions. Now take 2 or 3 pods or Gatorade bottles and on the whistle throw them out into the air, kinda like trap shooting. Obviously the backs jobs is to hit the bottles. If you can get into position, aim, and hit something the size of a bottle, then you will have no problem hitting a person off the break.

Slide: You can do this one without even any paint. Heck I practice in the halls sometimes. Simply put on your knee pads and pants and work on your slides. Hip slides (On the side of your hips), knee slides (Both knees), dives (SUPERMAN!!), and Butt slides (go in like a hip slide and then turn your weight so you slide on your butt...makes for less "Pretty Time" but puts your head up higher.

Break outs: The first 15 seconds of any game are the most important, so play 15 second games. Put them in the box, call the game, let people break out and finish getting pretty then do it again.

Code word: Many people hate this one, but it's effective to get people to listen up. Run a scrimmage, while the game is going on have a ref walk up to the back center and give him a code word, "Apple Pie" for example. He then has to pass the code word on to all the members of his team. Do this about 3 or 4 times. Then after the game get everyone together and ask them to recite the code words, in private...if one person gets it wrong, they do it again. Works very quickly to get people to listen to their backs and to pass information along to other players...and to insure they hear it.

this one seems interesting
taken from the pbstar forums

As your probally asking yourself what should i drill my team on and what would be effective. Well i got the answer for you and it works these main categories:
-Communication
-snap shooting
-bunkering
-accuracy

In the drill what we do is because we have our own private airball field but anyways if you don't have your own field then go to your local field and ask to practice. But anyways this is what you do you set up 15 boxes scattered all through and have them peaking out a lil out of the bunker. As you may find if your working with 15 boxes your best bet would be having 5 men out on the field. Line up as you would playing paintball and practice getting to your bunker and having your back players try and shoot out the boxes all the way in the back. As you move up and eliminate boxes communicate to your team letting them know one is gone and just keep moving up and save a couple boxes to bunker so you can practice this you might want these boxes to be bunkered on the right and far left of the field. Practice helping your team bunker and just keep up with it. Eventually you will find it to be easy so move onto moving the boes closer into the bunker and have your team only shoot 3 balls and if they miss they are eliminated and you just keep working and communicating, sliding to bunkers, bunkering, accuracy and best of all snap shooting!

i like to do alot of 2 on 1 drills, have the 1 start in a back center or corner and the other 2 start from back props. give the 2 one minute to take him out, practicing one shooting, one moving and so on. if one of the 2 get shot, then its over, start again. this teaches good offense and defense for both sides. if you are the 1, you have to keep your eyes up at all times and know where both players are, and it helps for anti-bunkering techniques. also, have the 1 start about 5-7 feet behind the prop while shooting. if you back off the prop some, it gives you a wider field of vision, moving left or right to put the prop between you and the paint. move closer in the closer your opponents get. its also good teamwork for the 2 and good movement and offense practice. i believe that you should get your defensive game up first before offense, ie- staying tight in a prop, holding opponents in, and beating the rush because sometimes standing your ground is better than a full out assault, especially when you know youre going to play teams that will push aggresively.

if you have a digital camera that can take movies set it up by a doorway and pretend to snap at the camera. play it back and try to notice if your elbow or hopper is stickin out to perfect your snapping ability.

if you have a reball center or own reballs shoot at a wall(that wont break when you shoot it) and let the balls bouce back straite back at you. This will train you to have fast reflexes when you start seeing paintballs comeing at you
