I first want to say that this product has delivered on its preformance promises. Additionally, customer service from Evolve is superb.

But

I think that people should see this as well. These are the photos of my valve seat after a single case of paint through the kit.

I have heard alot of things about this kit so I decided to double check the internal components of my own. I think it should be said that this kit was working just fine before I decided to investigate.

I hope that maybe these photos will induce Evolve (or someone else) to produce a replacement right away.

I noticed that when I dialed mine in, it killed the oring, but once it was dialed in I replaced the oring and 2 cases later it looks just fine. I think the adjusting cuts the oring on the face of the valve and causes it to do that. The extra stress of being adjusted and stuff. Once it's properly adjusted and you're not adding any extra stress (or more likely that the optimal setting puts very little pressure on teh valve itself) makes it work without any issues. The fix will likely be an oring of a harder durometer to resist the extra stress when you're adjusting the valve.

A fix that should be sent to everyone that has already purchased the Evolve kit. Mine is fine though...

That's how mine looked, too.

Replaced it and no problems since 3 or 4 cases yet.

A fix is in the pipeline. We may go over to a moulded face just like the original. We had no problems when we tested the o ring style of valve, but since it seems to be a weak point we will move over to the fully moulded type after some more testing.

And yes, if it completely cures the fault we will be sending out replacment parts.

Cheers

did you get a priest to bless the kit first?

hehe...just start chanting while holding a bible or whatever..."the power of christ compels you"
from the exorcist...you must exorcise the demon...

sorry, it's friday and time to go home...

Like I said, evolve is top notch in the customer service dept.

Good to know about the molded face and replacements.

I did reinstall that same valve seat back into my angel the way you see it. I dont know if evolve has alien technology, but that stem is sealing perfectly, no leaks and consistent.

Others have been saying that there are no problems with the replacement seael that comes with thte kit after the change. We will see. I'll ride this ring out to the end.

I had recently sent Evolve an email with concerns to the problems witch everyone has been having and from what they told me in the reply is that they have made the ness. adjustments and the will be ready in 3 weeks for purchase :

here's the reply sent from Evolve:

Hi Sam

Thanks for your interest.

Yes there has been a few problems with the o-rings but that has now been sorted and the next batch that are in production are having a moulded rubber seal
attached on the seat.

We should have these in stock within the next 3 weeks.

Regards
Gordon

now, I work at a machine shop, and deal with alot of orings all the time, is this just a standard oring I can prolly find in the shop? Or is this a special design?
