I have a very slight leak from the back hole on the site rail, I think it may be the ram. So can I take my ram out of my Speed and try it in the LED to see if thats the problem?

i dont think it would work. I think the speed body is smaller(length wise) than the led is.

Mearleman is right, the speed ram will be smaller. You can use an LCD one though. If you have a slight leak it is more than likley just an O-ring on the ram that needs replaced. Just take it out replace the o-rings put some Angel Grease or Dow 33 on the O-rings and shaft and then put it back in and you should be good to go.

remember the 14 way valve is above the ram. so it could be the 14 way and not the ram

That is possible too. Change the O-rings on the ram and if that doesnt work then its the 14way so then you will need to change the o-rings on that...

The LED dwarfs the Speeds. It is almost always O-Rings, I have probably close to 100K on my LED and I think its still the original ram.

Well this all started when i replaced the brass hammer with a ss. I've replaced the 3 o-rings on the ram and the snap ring o-ring, still have a little leak, the ram shaft doesn't look at all scratched from removing the brass hammer, how small are the tollerances for the shaft? or if it matters?
