Im looking for an angel, and im particularly interested in the old school angels, like the LED and early LCD's.

What do I need to know about them? What years were good/bad? and any other additional information.

Thanks,
Aaron

01 lcd is good,
look around

led 2000, has a very plain look to it. really no milling
look for a 01 lcd or a 01 dark lcd.
see what the have on them "upgrade wise"
they should go for aroun 350-500 "for the 01 lcd"

take a look around in the for sale forums at angelowners and at pbreview.com

good luck

2003 LCDs rock but you said you were interested in older models. Cobra LCDs are great and come with a lot of upgrades, Dark LCDs are great, C&C LCDs are sweet too. Basically I would go with anything 2001 and later. Reason being is that all LCDs 2000 and later have a tab key instead of on/off and a lot of them don't have much milling. As far as upgrades go, you'll need a fast hopper, a good barrel (with other markers barrel would go first, but WDP has good stock barrels), a HIGH PRESSURE air tank, and anything else you deem necessary. But angels really never require much upgrading.

You need to become quite familiar with the manual (Angel Manuals (http://www.wdp.tv/manuals) )

That LCD is overpriced.

very true,
but i'd get a used one and rebuild it.
new lpr
new mini reg
restore the ram
get it annoed
you can find them for like 450 "around that"
make sure it has like a freak one insert at least, tip
upgraded bolt, trigger.

you will most likly get the gun serviced once you bought it.
gold service is recomended, it does a complete clean up and disasembly.
later get eyes, "predetor" maybe

completley resotre it and keep it forever

thats what im doing
"my anno" white body and lime green colored parts

good luck

oooooh pics of the white lcd please! sounds sexy! i recently bought an 01 lcd and its a dream to use! trigger on mine takes a bit of getting used to as its not the ultra-lite magnetic style ones but is a superb marker for the price, and very low maintenance!
