Im looking for an angel, and im particularly interested in the old school angels, like the LED and early LCD's.

What do I need to know about them? What years were good/bad? and any other additional information.

Thanks,
Aaron

They are both relativley easy guns to operate and maintain. If you go to the top of this page and click on the "More" link you can get the manuals for both the led and lcd and so you won't have any trouble there. All years of angels are good, there were no bad years. I personally think the led is better than the lcd. My led's have always shot better than any lcd I have owned. I also like the ease of the led. Turn it on and shoot, you dont have to mess with the lcd and all that junk. Either way you go you wont be disappointed. Hope to be welcoming you to the family soon.

LCD can be upgraded more with Fly Conversion etc. But there is a very nice LED for sale under ANOTHER APPRAISAL THREAD...SORRY. I would seriously consider that marker it is highly upgraded with eyes and everything. I dont think you could ever break a ball in it. It is capped at 15bps more than likely though.

not with my board

I was referring to the gun Arctic Wombat was talking about.

If you have a zip chip it is supposedley capped at 20. I have easily outshot my Halo B and shot 27 over a red chrono so I know that the cap isn't very effective...

First of all congrats on joining the angel family. The guy at your local shop was wrong about getting $800 for the whole setup....lol but you definitley got a good deal. I have used Bob 4 or 5 times and everytime he has done good work, and my guns come back shooting better than ever. Hopwfully you will be up and running soon.
