Opened Ram?

Well I noticed some brass shavings down where the hammer slides so I decieded to take apart my dads angel and clean it. Well when I unscrewed the ram and went to pull it out just part of it came out and the rest stayed in. Well then when I got it out I also noticed that the hammer was loose. Whats up with this?? Is it just a bad ram? Or was it not put together right? Heres a pic.

Make sure everything is tightened down. The hammer might have came "unlocktighted."

I put it back together and now it is leaking.

Did you check all o-rings, and did you also regrease it?

The rams are supposed to be tightly secured. This sounds like a possible manufacturing problem and i'd contact a certified tech center to look at your options.

In the meantime you can try relubing it up, and turning the o-rings over if possible. I believe once you open them up they are prone to leaking however, and this is usually why techs will replace the entire ram assembly if one is giving them fits.
