Ball Rollback Question

Just picked up a speed 05 and had a question.

What is an acceptable amount for rollback?

Marker is gassed. I place a ball in feed tube. lean the marker back.

The ball rolls back about 1/32-3/64 (tangent)of an inch away from the detents.

QUESTION IS:
1. can the ram be set by this factor instead of the famous "CLICK"?
2. what measurement is too much roll back?

Reason I asked is that I shot a case and broke about 4-6 balls. Pretty acceptable in my opinion but I have not seen any conversation about rollback.

MY SETUP IS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Speed 05 (fastest hopper setting/3 lights for trigger/factory setting for dwell)
2. Empire Loader
3. Evil Pipe kit (I used the largest diameter when this happened)
4. crossfire LP air.

i know that somewhere in this forum there is a thread with actual pics of where the ball should be in the breach, but i cant find that one.

I put an Evil ball in the breach of my 5peed and it moves back and forth about an 1/8th of an inch. At a tangent it moves about 2-3/32 of an inch. Sounds like my balls are moving more than yours!

My gun has NEVER chopped any paint. I'm only up to about 2 cases but still.....

My breach "clicks" so is properly adjusted.

you should have to use a little force to open it. thats the way i have mine
