hey, i just bought a used angel lcd from this kid i know and i've shot it before and everything. He gave me the charger with the gun but i had to go out and buy a converter so i could plug it into my outlet at home. I don't understand what happened. I plugged everything in the way that the manual told me to but the screen said "tab in" and i clearly didn't have the key tab in so i turned on the gun and all of a sudden the screen flickered and the gun shut off. I asked my friend that knows a lot about gun maintenance and he said that i could've fried the board or the battery but i don't know which one. And i bought the gun without my mom knowing so i can't ask her to take me to a paintball shop or anything. and by the way how do u check to see if the battery is connected?? please post!!

well first of all you should have turned the battery charger off, took it out and all...
then put the tab key in, it may be just a completly dead battery. did you try to recharge it and what not?
check the batery charger with a multi meter and also check the cord, and charger. that will determine if its the battery or the charger.
if thats not the case you most likly fried the board. do the multimeter check then tell me/us whats the case.

Did you have teh charger plugged into the gun when it said "tab in"? Yeah you will have to get a multimeter and check the battery to see if it is dead. Its more than likley a dead battery, at least hope it is just the battery....

also, it may be the charger. there can be too much resistance "bad cicuit" throughout the charger or the actual cord may be bad as well. so like i said before give those all a try.
good luck!

ok before i do anything, i have a question. If u have a "dead battery" is it possible to recharge it again, or is it so "dead" that i need a new one? I ask these questions because I really dont have the money right now for new parts. I'll do anything i can to try and fix it! thanks for the previous posts by the way! =)

well a dead battery can be recharged, but if the calls in the battery are broke then you need a new rechargable battery

how long would it take to be recharged because i read in another post that it takes 14 hours for the "dead" battery to even show any life? is this true?

ya thats sounds about right. did you use the multimeter to test the charger, battery and cord?
i have had this happen to me : i chargered up my batterys for 8-12 hours.
they lasted 2 minutes.
i had a bad charger, checked with the ulti meter.
so just take a look at those before you assume its a bad board.
lmk whats happens

Yeah if you have a friend that has an angel you can try his charger out and see if it works any better. That will tell you right away if your charger is bad. (I only suggest this because i dont have a multimeter not sure if you do) If it is your battery that is dead you can search the forum and try and find a cheap one. My buddy just sold an extra he had for extremley cheap last night....

Okay, umm do you have a really short trigger pull? because something like this happened to mine, if the trigger is in and the microswitch is engaged... and cant return you should give some slack the the trigger so it can charge, if that's your problem put it back together, try and turn the marker on...if it doesnt turn on leave the switch in the on position and then plug the tab in...it says "tab in" if the marker is off or the microswitch is pulled/engaged

yes it is possible to recharge a dead battery, is it a stock battery in that marker? because older WDP product batteries do not hold the same life span as the new and improved ones, especially if it's an older type angel....i would say deff get one of those

if it says "TAB IN" it simply means that the gun must be on while it is charging.
1st plug the charger into the wall
2nd, turn your gun on
3rd plug the charger into the gun
and 4th make sure the little boxes are lighting up and down. When it has finished (a few hours) the boxes will all be lit up
