if you can't do it yourself, then I'd say probably every 6-8 months. it would certainly be a good idea to learn how to do the minor things if you don't want to send it off tho. Some people have never had a tech look at any of their guns, and they are still happy with their performance, some people take it to a tech once a month..it's really up to you

For a tune up, they take it all a part, clean it very good. I think the put air through to get everything clean. Check all parts, see if they need replaceing. Put it back together, then tune it. Thats pretty much it.

Unlike other paintball markers, the Angel's design is VERY low maintenance. If you dont have a owners manual, the first thing you should do whether you plan on serviceing your marker your self or not is get one. I think you can get'm here:
http://performanceangel.com/
The reason: There are things you should know and be aware of even as a user that are explained very nicely in the manual.
Unless you are noticing a significant amount of performance loss, other than putting a few drops of oil in every now and then, you really shouldnt worry about maintenance a whole lot.
One thing I would like for used Angel buyers to be aware of is that if the Hammer has been replaced, for any reason, to make sure that it is on tight and secured with the proper level of thread locker. This includes if the Hammer was "upgraded" to stainless or Titanium (Ti).
If it is questionable, and you are also unaware of your markers maintenance history, it is a very good idea to send your marker in to have it tuned/repaired. You can also reasearch this by using the aforementioned link to Performance Angel.
The manual will answer 80% of the questions a new user might have, but for the rest, you can rely on us.

Also to add to Syentific's post, you can get the manuals here on the site.

on my gun i have a screw in n2 tank. i also have a taso on/off valve on it. after i screw it in when i turn on the air it leeks out of the bolt, but not much. i turn it on and shoot it a few times and it stops leeking. my captian said he thinks its the 14 way on it. how should i properly check the 14 way without the special tool?
is it just like in the manual under testing pneumatics?

TheFlash2k2: Yes, without looking, I think that is it.
WarpedKid02: Thanks for the addition. I had so many problems with the documents provided here I often forget to add them as a resource. I am not saying by any means that it is a maintenance problem, just my applications I think.

You will find that all of the Certified Techs here do a great job. They are all Certified by WDP. All of them know exactly what they are doing, and how things work. WDP would not have picked these guys for nothing.
