I was wondering if anyone is having both velocity consistancy problems AND chopping problems. ive noticed that its always either one or the other and not both.

it doesnt make sense from a technical standpoint, but maybe those two problems are linked... like they are caused by the same variable, but at opposite extremes of the spectrum, if that makes any sense.

what do you guys think? am i a dumbass with a dumbass idea, or do i have something here?

I had a chopping problem until DEZ made me a new set of detents. I am not sure whether the velocity problems were happening until this past weekend. I guess I had never imagined that a marker out of the box would be +/-12fps so when I chrono'd initaially and every time thereafter I only fired a shot or two to make sure it was under. Now that I see I am having velocity problems I will try keeping better track of the velocity.

As far as it being related I think you're comparing apples to oranges.

i really wasnt very convinced that it made sense in terms of what the two problems are, i just felt id throw out the idea in case for some strange reason it was the answer haha

That's definately a smart way to do business. Process of elimination will get you the answer.
