so i would have to go and get the thing where the tank screws in right
My silver 5peed didn't come with anything. But that's okay. Only guns you buy at Walmart have everything you need to gas up and play. They also have warnings printed permenantly on the gun "This is not a toy". I figure because my 5peed doesn't have the warning that it actually IS a toy!
Depending on your tank setup you will probably want to purchase a drop forward and a nice asa (screw tank in here). You may just want to purchase a cradle for it instead of a drop. I prefer a drop.
The drop forward moves your tank down and forward to make it fit up against your shoulder better. Meaning that you can keep your gun tighter to your body and you don't have to lean into the gun as much to sight it. Anyone who's ever shot a tippman will know what I mean!
The cradle is cheaper and many people do play with just a cradle and an asa. It's slightly lighter in weight but for me it makes the gun sit further from my body and face so it's harder to play with.
Everyone is different and you may be different from everyone! Go to the pro shop and try a few things to see what you like!
ASA (air source adapter): I like the Smart Parts ASA. Your line goes into the front instead of sticking out of one side or the other. Very clean and slim. I found a picture of mine at Action Village.

Barrels: This is the topic a lot of people have opinions on. Here's mine! I hate barrel kits or aftermarket barrels in general. Now, to clarify! I'm one of those strange ones you've heard so much about that hates to mess up his paint job with an aftermarket barrel. If I had purchased a shiny black 5peed then I would be rushing out to buy a better barrel! But, the silver color is just plain sexy and spoke to me in a way no other gun (or inanimate object) has before. I had to have it! Therefore, I will not de-sexy (is that a word? Talfuchre, what is the etymology of de-sexy?) my gun with a barrel kit or other barrel that doesn't match. If you don't care what your gun looks like then why didn't you buy a autococker? Sorry, guys.....autocockers are ugly.
My stock barrel is pretty decent and looks good too! Buy good paint that fits well in the barrel and you'll be fine. I just shot a case of Empire Fuel. Good paint to barrel match and no breaks (other than on that guy's goggles, ha!).
Anyway, I've stolen some pictures (just the pictures mind you, no need to call the cops...unless you can find a way to throw me in jail for the autococker remark!) to illustrate the drop vs the cradle.
