Hey fellas-

So I've heard both good and bad about this Newton Evolve Kit. As far as performance goes, it delivers everything it promises. The only thing I think people are unsure about is the dependability of the kit. So to all you owners of this kit, how has it held up through the amount of time you've been using it?

My buddy has a case through his and the cup seal on the valve stem shredded out and the leaks seem to come and go from the LPR volumizer holes.

So...

Anyone that knows me knows that I offer no offense when I talk, but when things like this go wrong with the kit could it be a user error when the kit was being installed?

Just a thought.

It very well could be. We'll know for sure once the MT's install a good number of kits and get their feedback/input.

EDIT: Admins/Mods - Let's move this to the Evolve Forum. Thanks!

In my experience with my kit I don't quite see how the cup seal shredding on the valve stem could be user error. The seal itself seemed a bit weak and unless you rubbed it with sandpaper prior to installation it shouldn't shred after a case.

Have you contacted peegee at Evolve? I believe Maximus from Joy Division reported that he had similar problems and it was determined that the seal quality was questionable. Peegee followed up by saying that the seals had been replaced and future versions of the kits (the ones that consumers received). Perhaps yours did not receive the newest seal version?

my seal is fine and shows no wear after 5000 shots.

same thing happened to me, the seal got split and started jamming against guide. i don't know how long the replacement o-rong would last. I was thinking maybe we could get the seal from original valve stem(look like derlin?) and put it on evolve valve.

Two of the kits in our Teamguns have the same problem the valvestem-oring that seals the valve got shredded.

It happend on both guns after about 3000 - 5000 Shots.
