when i charge the gun will the led on the back of the gun change colours?

as far as i know you should be concerned with the LEDS on the charger. the marker should be turned off ... LEDS on charger change from red to green and should take only 30 mins. to an hour depending on age and drain of battery.

Yeah your gun will only take a charge if it is off. When you plug the charger in the red light on the charger will get bright, and then turn to green when it is done. If the light on the charger is just a dull red then that means your gun is on and you need to turn it off.
