Any reason this couldn't be done if the battery was removed?

Assuming that you somehow dealt with the solenoid and eye wiring (if applicable).

This has actually been done by Styles Bitchley if my mind serves me correctly. Drop him a line, there are pics of the gun floating around somewhere. It can be done, but I believe it to an extremely time consuming process...

I think I've seen an LCD of his, that did indeed have milling on the battery side. I was talking more about milling the tube completely off, something like what is done on the Ironman Matrix with the left dead chamber. I realize this would likely be hideous to look at, but it should reduce weight quite a bit. Anyway, thanks, I'll try to contact him.

i dont think it would work if you milled it completely off. you would have to do so much to it. it would probaly be cheaper to just get a timmy

Why would it take so long. All you are doing is milling aluminum. Any skilled machinist would be able to do it in about 30 min.. As in reducing wt. milling apx. 1/3 of a side wall of hollow cavity, would not reduce that much wt.

Thanks for the replies guys, I was discussing it with a friend, and we had differing viewpoints.

I'm just assuming it would take time, but I'm not the person to talk to. If you really wanna figure it out, just drop Styles a line, I'm sure he'd let you know what he did.
