So I just picked up an old led for very cheap as a tinker gun. I saw a thread here earlier about someone else who was looking to buy it. $185, with a lot of ups and with a revvy and a c4 jersey. This is my first angel, so i'm not all that knowledgable. I was told it had a leak, and needed some new orings on the 14-way, but he just didnt know how to do it, but he had them.
I took apart the 14-way and WOW it was nasty in there. I cleaned everything up, and it looked pretty good, except for one of the large black orings on the outside of the noid body was not looking to good. There aren't any of these in the oring pack I was given. Then, in getting it back in, I managed to pinch another one of them, and tear it up. I looked around and found this is a common problem. Any tips for gettin it back in without doing this? Also, aparently there is supposed to be some little brass safety valve on the back right of the 14-way, hmmmm, I don't see it. I'm just gonna just take a wild guess that that is also a big part of the leak, lol.
Next, I went to charge it, because the battery was dead. Hmmm, nothing.I opened up the charger and there was a loose wire, so I'll need to bust out my soldering iron and fix that up.
Also, I still havent taken anything out of the right tube, like the ram, lpr, etc. I'm gonna guess it's pretty nasty in there, and I like to have my guns clean. I don't have the tool kit, and i'm definently not gonna drop 40 bucks on it, so any ways you guys know to ghetto rig something up to get em out?
One more question. Is it really worth picking up some sort of a more grease like lube, like dow 33 or 55, instead of the good old gold cup I've always used, especially on the noid?
So basically, I just need to get a few of those orings, and I need to pick up the little brass piece in the back of the noid. I'm looking at the angel spare parts kit on pbgear:
http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=ULeXIIMRG1iXvcLxwzxXiIm39fci_BgTPiQ=?Pro ductID=KEmsFAY7w6IAAAD3uNClA_2s#
Might those big orings and the little brass piece be what I'm looking for? Otherwise, if anyone happens to have some spares they could sell me, that would be great. Thanks a lot.

I dont have any of those parts to spare, but I recommend checking with any of the MT's. For led parts www.angelparts.com has a huge selection of all the screws, o-rings, you name it they probably have it. The only way to access the items in the right tube and have them set up correctly is by using a Tool Kit. I highly don't recommend trying anything else as you could cause damage and strip things out. I know my local shop has 2 tool kits, so you might want to check with your local shop and borrow one or use it there or something.

As for grease I recommend Angel Love Grease. It is similar to Dow 33 just made for angels.. ITs the best stuff I have used.

Good Luck getting it up and shooting.

o well, if its an old LED, and you dont know your Angels, send it off to one of the great WDP Master Techs. they are WDP certified techs that know every corner of the WDP markers. i would recomend finding the closest mt near you. they can be found at www.angelforce.tv i would recomend gettingt he glod or most exspencive (i tihnk 65 dollars) package they have to offer under services. they will get the LED uip and running, hey did for me 2 years ago. great people. hope this helped

Well i have to say that if you own an Angel you should have the tools ... its like owning a car without a spare, there real handy when your luck is down .. better to learn now and have the education of working on your marker than trying to Jerry Rig something in the middle of a game day ... the tool kits sell all the time on Ebay and ask here someone might have one availible...I have 2 LED's and I would be pulling my hair out if I did not have a kit. ... As for the large oring munching problem you need to put a little grease or oil on them, ... BUT you may have a burr on the under side of the housing from the set screw, run your fingure very slowly and carefully and feel for any imperfections ... if found use a small file or xacto knife and pick at the spot .. be very careful not to remove any opf the surround material, just the burr or bump ...
good luck

I would agree that a tool kit is almost a must. If you look around on ebay and on PBN you can find them cheap all the time, I got mine for 25 shipped.
