I've had a written agreement with the Master Techs since July of 2004. I have to use an Angel that has been touched/modified by a Master Tech, with the only exception being when I'm reviewing a gun. That agreement is open ended, so as long as the MT's are happy with my representation of them, I am an MT-Sponsored player. To be blunt, I don't see that agreement ending any time soon, with the only possible way that would end in my mind is if WDP chose to sponsor me.
Action Markers approached me at World Cup to do a review of the newly released Diadem. I agreed to the review for various reasons, mainly because I like doing reviews for magazines, and I needed a gun to play the last game of the World Cup with. My team captain had banned me from using my Fly'd LCD, and my teammate's IR3 and I didn't get along.
When the agreement was made with Action Markers, one of the terms of that contract was that 68Caliber.Com would field a team that would have at least 2 out of 3, 4 out of 5, or 6 out of 7 Diadems on the field. That way I can use my Angel while being part of an Action Markers sponsored team. There's precedent for this, since Rocky Cagnoni is/was on a WGP sponsored team, but he uses a Force Fly, because he's a WDP-Sponsored player.
I still have the Diadem from the review, but my wife and the team fight over who it actually belongs to. She uses a very custom BM2K most of the time, so the Diadem normally gets used by the team as a backup.
