Apply some thread lock to the macroline elbow.

Common sense is your best defense.

I had mine not shoot when the eyes were on but the battery was low. The battery showed two yellow lights on startup, but replacing it seemed to fix the problem.

Hmm Try shooting with paintballs when the eyes are on.
