took my son's lcd apart, greased and inspected and rebuilt. once air applied to gun, exhaust valve is leaking. took exhaust valve out. found two slightly bent shims. I think my son probably bent them during reassembly.

My question is this: would bent shims cause the exhaust valve to leak?

my son bought the gun used and when we got it apart we found that it had not been greased in a long time. we didn't replace any o-rings as we didn't have them and I wonder if they may have dried to the point that now they don't work despite the fresh grease.

any thoughts?

id say inspect the prings on teh valve, andmake sure the cup seal is in good working order, also, thats the lpr you're looking at, you'll have to remove that via a pin below the vertical adapter. To remove the valve, there is a pin under the trigger frame on the body (the one that lines up the frame when assembling it).

edit.... bent shims wont hurt the gun just straighten them as best you can
