My son has an LCD and after adjusting the ram, the backplate won't fit because the ram sticks out too far. I know someone else had this problem but I can't find the thread and am looking for help.
thanks.

You adjusted the ram with it degassed. Screw the ram in until it is beyond flush with the back of the body - gas the marker up - THEN adjust the ram forward until you have the right 'click'. The back plate will fit then.

sounds like it's too far back...did you adjust it with the marker gassed up? If not, gas up your marker and readjust it. If it was gassed, don't know what to tell you, back it all the way out, and start over I guess. I wouldn't think you'd have to retract the ram, most people have had to advance it.

i had it gassed when i adjusted it.
took the ram out and found that the end nearest the exhaust valve actually slides aft (towards the rear of the gun and when I pushed it all the way aft, put the ram back in and adjustment works fine. don't know if this is clear without a picture but it works.
thanks.
