Hey guys, I posted some general questions last week and I appreciate all the help. I just got her in a few hours ago and tested her out. I used to work in a store back when angels first came out and never got to shoot one. I got out of the sport for the last five years due to college and finally got my angel. Wow, I'm impressed. I didn't expect her to shoot as well as she does. I'm always the pessimist. It's a 2k1 LCD C&C. I got an all american with it that's quiet. I've gotta say I've always loved that barrel. I did purchase a barrel adapter to use my cocker's pipe kit with it. I know it's half-ass, but still cheaper. Looking forward to playing with it tomorrow.
A couple of questions though: 1st: I know it's supposed to have a tab on the back, but mine has a switch. Due to it being used, I understand. I know how to use it (not an idiot), but is that an add-on or stock. 2nd: I was scrolling through the menus and saw the dwell at 15...can someone explain the dwell to me and what it should be at? If it matters I'm running one of two tanks 68/3k and 88/4.5k (both pure energy).
Here's a pic.
WDP went from the tab to the switch at some point in time, so it's possible that the switch was stock. Actually, I'd say it's probably, cause I think 2k1 was the year they made the switch. Could be wrong, though.
Can't answer your dwell question, but are your tanks HP or LP? You'll need an HP tank.

the dwell sets the amount of time that the valve is open... if its at fifteen id leave it, thats what mines at... plus you say its working fine.. the tanks should be good although i have seen some probs with people using PE tanks on lcds, they dont seem to have quite the output consistency and pressure as some and dont have enough output to keep the gun ripping. i got a 68/45 centerflag 420 screw in on mine right now and it works fine.. if you got any other q's just ask em.

Both of y'all mentioned HP or LP tanks and some other stuff. All three tanks are screw in, preset tanks. 47/3k, 68/3k, and 88/4.5k (all screw in). I haven't chrono'd the marker yet so I don't know how consistant it shoots, but it seems right so far. Could someone elaborate on the tank issue for me a bit?
Preset tanks come in two configuations: High Pressure (HP) and Low Pressure (LP).
HP tanks put out around 800 psi, LP tanks put out around 450 PSI.
The Angel LCD is a HP marker, and thus needs an HP tank. An LPR tank can cause shootdown at high rates of fire, due to not being able to recharge quick enough.

I'm assuming that my pure energy tanks are......?
Just shooting at home, I'm not noticing any shootdown.

your dwell is how many millaseconds your valve stays open to fire the ball. If you have a high dwell you will get worse efficecy but will be abole to shoot faster with out shoot down. Lower dwell will be easier on paint and use less air but if you shoot to fast you can get wicked shoot down. I keep my dwell on 14 15 is fine just leave it.

Yeah if you aren't having any trouble with your gun, just leave the current settings alone. As for your tanks the 47 3k I know for a fact is HP, and I am pretty sure the other tanks you have are HP, LP tanks didn't get too popular until about a year or so ago. As for the switch that was a stock item. The tab was put on the early model LCD's in 2000. After that they switched to the switch.
Well, PE does make both HP and LP models of their tanks, but if you're not having any problems then it's fine.
