View Full Version : FPS issues.
Ok, see if i can explane this with out driving any of you batty.
Go to the feild air up and go to chrono check the dwell its at 14, open up the tank, and set the output to 650 let a few rounds off then go to the chrono station. Fire my first shot 210, next one is about 220, then 215, i was like dang thats low, i adjusted the screw on the reg and let a few more off the fps went no where, so i tried the other direction, still nothing, now with the gun off and no air applyed to it the screw is movable by fingertip i am assuming this is bad correct?

Im hoping that your not dum and are adjusting the right set screw. Try cranking it and see if that does anything. Take it apart and clean it. If all els fails get a new reg, i got a 2k4 mac dev glad and oh god i love it (its a bit long tho)

It's ok to be able to turn the screw by hand when its not gassed. Screwing it out increases velocity.

make sure you shoot enough air thru the reg before you change it again, it could be that its adjusting your just not giving it enough shots to see the deffirence.. also you could bump your dwell up one or two, but 14 works for me so. just tinker with it a little bit and youll get it.. i dont really think you have to worry about setting the lpr.

Well I would check your velocity again. Make sure after you adjust the screw take about 3-5 clearing shots and then check your velocity. IF you are still having the same problems then I would check your LPR and see what it is at. Try adding some shims and see if that helps.

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING... make sure you have the gauge there to check it and stuff. ive seen a guy just add shims then later find out it was at about 150 psi lol ...
