Iv been away from the sport for a while someone please get me caught up asap i need one before this weekend :neutral:. And also i would be firing and my bolt would get stuck in the up or (firing position) and air would leak???? whats that all about could it be the faulty hopper.

the bolt gets stuck forward when a piece of shell gets stuck between the body and the bolt. the ram isn't strong enough to return the bolt to its standard position, so the valve is still engaged, venting your tank out the barrel. this is a result of the chopping, and the remnants of a paintball being in the breech.
i use a Egg with Z board, but others have had success with halo's. both should work. make sure that you're ram is aligned properly, so that you get the "click" when you open the breech. this is a big factor in chopping. good luck.

§§§§ i thought i was chopping cause of my hopper and §§§§ really it was hella cold outside and made the balls brittle and they break easier i turned on the defrosters on my car and set my paintball bags there and warmed them up and i didn't chop after that...that was my case weather does plunty of crap to the paintballs

there are several causes of chopping. the hopper is one, and ram alignment is another. an improperly aligned ram can cause rollback and mad chopping.
weather is another cause of balls breaking. the cold makes the balls brittle. this can lead to problems in diagnosing problems for various reasons. if you're using a force fed hopper like a halo you could be cracking these brittle balls on the bottom of the breech as it feeds, then when your bolt hits it, the ball breaks. this looks like a chop, but isn't. also, if the ball is brittle enough then just the bolt hitting it can cause it to break, also looking like a chop.

exactly
also check your detents, make sure they move freely but have resistance to keep from double feeding.
as for hoppers, if your decide to upgrade either an egg or halo would be good. i use a victory board halo, and love it.
halo's=fast, but may need some tweeking to get perfect.
egg's=almost as fast, but brittle.

I used a Halo on my speed, and it worked fine. Eggs work well also, but they aren't fast enough for my taste. Also if it is cold your paintball shells will get brittle. Keep them in your car or in a building while you are playing that will keep them warmer than outside where you are playing. Also look into another kind of paint. I know at my local field in the winter we get some polar Ice as well as the Artic Ice (Inferno version of cold weather paintball) cold weather paintball. Both are meant for cold weather and are excellent.
