Sorry to out do you guys but when the IR3 came out we were paying from $3000 upto $3500 here in Australia. That is about US$2300.
Because of our laws back then it was illegal to import markers so they had to be brought in other ways and everyone wanted their cut$$.
But not no more now the laws have been changed..
In europa, everything is expensive! :cryer:
For exemple, the DM5 cost here 1400€ that means 1854$... And it doesn't include the taxes and shipping... I think in USA it costs less than 1400$ right?
That's because we buy everything by internet in the USA!!! God I love this contry
(Many thanks to WDP to be in europa and provide us a marvellous service and give us good deals...)

yea but even in a shop a dm5 is less that 1300 here in the us....what does an angel cost in europe is the mark up more when they ship them here???
in fact, the angels are also more expensive in europe... we pay for a Speed '05 (public price) 1295$...
You know what I meen? :get:

that doesnt make sense isnt the euro worth more than a us dollar
Yes I think so but the US market is much bigger and the distribution is easier...
And I think that 80% of the production go to the USA.
In Europe, if you don't like the price, you cannot go to the next proshop... And as the market is small, the dealers don't sell the same volume of guns and so they don't have the same conditions as the US dealers from the factory... And the factory can't make a better price than the officials dealers otherwise the dealers will sell nothing!

The biggest reason it cost more for an angel in europe than the U.S. is the strict tariff laws the the U.K. has on its domestic products. The tariffs to other european countries aren't much better. So WDP pays less to export the markers to the U.S. Here in the states our tariffs on imports is relatively lax because we want the free capital market to thrive. The Rest of the world depends on the U.S. so we generally get better prices on imported goods. Although there are exceptions. Also, the comment earlier about mass ordering is also true. Paintball is growing into worldwide industry but all the real money resides in the U.S. Just my two cents.

I know but other european countries have similiar tarrif laws so to import within the euro countries is expensive. And the none euro countries do not have a large market so the price is more expensive.

here In Sweden, europe, a complete set of dye clothings with jerseys, pants, gloves, elbow pads and knee pads costs about: 3850 swedish crowns, thats 550,05 USD
the same package from dye themselves costs about: 1 290swedish crowns, and that is about 190 USD..
big diffrence? yeah, thats because when the mercendice gets to sweeden, a tax is added on up to 45 % of the additional price of the mercendice, so even importing the goods on your own is pointless.
this probably means i wont be able to get my hands on a g7 :( bugger shees just tooo fiiine
*ps sorry about any misspellings or wrong sentences, i know my english is not 100percent.. the word i used was tax because i simply don't know what the word i was looking for was *messy:S*ds*
