i was doin a trigg job to my 04 speed today. somehow it stoped working. i took the grip apart and noticed that the thin metal piece is out of place (where the screw hits the metal to tell the gat to shoot) where should that metal piece be? its not broken or n e thing. when i pull the trigg it doesnt read. i made sure the back screw is touching it.
side note: batterys r low so it may not be able to read.

is the board reading and just the noid no clicking. The toe screw may be set to far forward or to far back to where it wont read.... Try adjusting the toe screw a little and see if you get a response from the board.

just cuz the the screw is contacting the leaf spring doesn't mean that the marker will fire. when you pull the trigger, the part of the leaf that goes into the board needs to break the opto-beam, if the toe screw is too far out then it might not be breaking the beam telling the marker to fire. if it's too far in it won't allow the beam to reset (it's constantly broken)

the beam is inside the board, when the battery is done charging, adjust your toe screw in.
as WELTED said "just cuz the the screw is contacting the leaf spring doesn't mean that the marker will fire. when you pull the trigger, the part of the leaf that goes into the board needs to break the opto-beam, if the toe screw is too far out then it might not be breaking the beam telling the marker to fire"
if the toe screw is too far in then the first few leds will be constantly lit.
