ok first thing i noticed, in the instructions it leaves out that the gun must be gassed to reset the ram. not a big deal but performance will suffer.(evolve is closed until tommorow so i cant let them know)

it took me 35 minutes to install the kit and properly tune the gun (05 speed) as designed, it did exactly what it said it would do. make sure you clean all the red delrin chips out of both ends of the new bolt to get the correct tightening values. if you are the faint of heart send it in to a mt service center. we will all be evolve service centers very soon and more info from the others and a full write up very soon. you can count on full honesty from all of us on this kit.

is the kit worth the time/money in your opinion ?

You'll do an actual performance review too right? $150 Should be something very noticeable as far as performance goes. :)

What I'd really like to know is does it effect efficiancy? Tell how many shots you get out of a 68/45 before, then after, plz. Thanks

Honestly I don't see what the big deal is with the evolve kit. The only thing that interests me is the adjustable lpr they designed. Other than that i am not impressed. With my a4 fly and a 45/4500 tank I get 1500 shots with a 4000 psi fill...not even a full fill. And that is everything stock on the marker...guess it is just me though.

Dont know about the a4, but installed on my Speed, the evolve kit significantly lowered the gun's recoil. Mine shoots softer than my DM4 now, but without that "mushy" feel that the Dye guns have.

what is the Evolve?

Evolve is a paintball company that just recently began doing a kit for the angel a4 a4 fly and speed 05...they started off doing parts for other markers.

The kit that people are talking about on here deals with the newton valve etc.

For more info. you can checkout the orums and go to www.evolvepaintball.com to see what the kit consists of

What I'd like to know is..... why they made such a long valve stem? What's the purpose of having it so long?

bigfootimp

so they don't have to design a spacer similar to the one that is already used with the a4's

yes

if you can set it up... you will most likey need at least a bag of paint and 2 fills of air to tune it...which takes a while

it is a very touchy kit, but as ive heard once tuned its amazing

So far I have heard that the best thing about it is lack of recoil, but i have also heard people complaining about fsdo and drop off during high rof

Well, you know, people used to play paintball with recoil...

ok finally got mine set up, after 30 min. of work with the new LPR cap... well there is def. a lack of recoil, it sounds quieter then it was before, i dont notice a difference in air efficiency yet, but ill run some tests soon on it, the biggest pains are A.) the instructions arn't the best but they do get the job done, and B.) the LPR endcap is very very very Fragile, be very careful, it strips easily, and for some reason it was leaking until i lock-tited a screw on it( one of the gauge screws), i think its a fairly nice upgrade, but i need to try it some more... also the people at evolve were very friendly and very helpful, much like the MT here...

ouch!! i get around 1800-2000 shots off my fly.

Can anyone with an 5peed tell me if the 5peed is capable (without custom mods, like drilling or something) of getting that kind of efficiancy?

Well, you know, people used to play paintball with recoil...

people also used to play paintball without bolts... what's your point? lol
