View Full Version : Lookin at buying a speed? Q's
I want to buy a speed but i have some questions first....
How fast are they? BPS?
Are they reliable?
Any major probs with them?
What is the most common problam?
Do they chop alot?
How much do they weigh?
Anything u need to have for them?
Is it a good gun??
Whats better the speed or the IR3?
Whats the diff between the 03 and the 04's?
Are they easy to maintain?
How much should i expect to pay???? For the 03 and the 04, just the gun?

paintballjc answered exactly as i would have answered with two additions.
1) you should definitely get an LP tank, that's what the speed is designed for.
2) there is a difference between the 03 and the 04 and that is the voltage of the solenoid. the 03 is a 6v noid, and the 04 is a 3v noid. both run off the same battery.
speeds are extremely reliable, easy to maintain, and an all around awesome gun. get one!!!
So whast the Lp tank? How much? If i buy one new what will i have to buy for it? Is there any thing i have to mess with?
And how short is the trigger pull?
Thanks!

LP tanks are preffered, with a high pressure tank you may not be able to chrono under 300fps, so low pressure (lp) or adjustable is suggested. however if you have HP you can modify the minireg to compensate if you have velocity problems. the
the trigger can be adjusted to be quite short, however it may bounce requiring you to re-adjust your trigger to make it legal.
as far as how much do they cost, check the classified section here, but usually id say between $500 and $600 for just the SPEED unless of course its been retro'd.

Sure I do. I'm not really that rich but I do have some very nice gats. It's all about thinking of a way to get enough money to buy what you want, not figure out what you can buy with the money you got.
lol true dat~
How much is a lp tank?

You can get a nice LP tank in the 150 range, check in the classifieds or with the MT's.

yeah, Crossfires are probably the best, you can find 68/4500's for like $150 used here in the classifieds, or on PBnation...

go with NitroDuck tanks man. crossfires are ok tanks..they are on the lower end of tanks as tanks go i guess. but go for either NitroDuck or the new Angel A.I.R screw-in's. those 2 are great tanks.
