Buying an 04 - Only have HP tank

So I'm buying an 04 speed that has an A4 board in it already. It's only had a couple hundred shots on it so it's brand spanking new.

Problem is that I only have a high pressure tank and I'll be kind of stretched for cash after buying it. Should I look to trade my 68/3000 HP for a low pressure on a forum? Should I sell it and get some more money for a 68/4500 low pressure? Or should I look into the mod that I hear people talking about to allow a HP tank to work on it.

I heard that the lowest fps you're going to get with a HP mod is 290. My field wants under 280 at all times.

You can do either or both: have your local shop convert your hp tank to lp or do a minireg mod.

Mini reg mod = free, having your tank converted = depends, 15-20 bucks usually.

I'd try the minireg mod first since it's quick and easy.

If you're using, say a CP reg, instead of the stock reg, would a HP tank work out?

any aftermarket reg will allow you to get your velocity down to an acceptable level with an HP tank. they just don't match the speed very well...

i personally suggest getting the NitroDuck Xstream Adjustable tank. you can adjust that tank to be a high pressure output, or low pressure. but if your down on cash..just modify the minireg, that should do for now, but i wouldnt suggest having it for a long time.
