had a leak in a weird place for me

ok i went to get my A.I.R filled today and the guy brings the tank back and its leaking out the gauge out that little hole. That never happened to me before so i thought it was leaking out of a weird spot. I got it replaced but does anyone know why it would leak out that part. it wasnt leaking out the threads of the gauge just the little hole on the gauge, no where else.

guage was broken, simple as that. if the pressure excedes the guage pressure reading it will break the guage and start to leak. so if you got the reg turned up to high or the fill the tank too much POP!!! pssssssssssssss~~~~~~ you break your guage
